How does your game fit the theme?
I interpreted the theme as a synonym of "Custom-made", "Something made perfectly in size to fit someone or something", but I made it the exact opposite: Not built to scale. And so i came up with the idea of a shooter game, where the weapon is so big, it needs two characters to be moved around and used, and what better characters than two cute mice? The game also fits with the much simpler theme's interpretation "sizes and dimensions" because of its ambiance, taking place in a house wich looks enormous to the small protagonists, where even a mouse trap looks as big as a car!

The combination of cuteness and violence is surprisingly interesting, and the art is also excellent.

Developer

YESS that's exactly what i wanted to make eheh, thank you so much!

Wonderful execution of the idea, love the little cute mouse vs zombie rodents.

Giving big New Grounds vibe with the style and music, but still totally unique!

Would love to see a full release of this game with full roguelike aspects.

good work!

Developer

Thanks again for playing :

I LOVED THIS GAME, full review because I really liked it.

I see that many complained about the screen, but I realized that it is not screenlock, I think you used lerp to polish the camera movement, I think that just adjusting the values can improve dizziness in other people. About the weapon dash, when there are many enemies it is difficult to aim at them because you are constantly thrown back, one way I think I would solve it would be for the dash to also cause damage to the zombies, so you could dash yourself in the horde and go back to the cheese instead of shooting blindly. Also It's the best art I've seen so far at the jam. Thanks for reading

Developer

Heyy! Thank you so much, i mean it :)

Yeah you are right about the screen moviment, i've added it to make the game more chaotic and alive, but in a future build i'll probably add a toggle on/off button for camera shakes and moviment.

About the weapon suggestion i really liked it! I could make a knockback effect to the enemy maybe, but it needs to be actually useful and rewarding somehow... could add instead the damage like you said with another weapon you unlock later! Thank you so so sooo much again :D

wow. i never thought i would ever play something quite like this. i love it

Developer

Ehy thank you soo much! I'm really happy you enjoyed it, means a lot :')

It gets repetitive fast, but the juice on the handgun makes it feel so good to play. My record is 252!

Developer(+1)

Thanks dude! yeah i agree on the repetitive part, if i ever continue this game i'll probably make it a lot more replayable somehow!

Great game! I did get a little motion sickness while playing, I would suggest removing the sway while moving. It's fine when you're still to have the screen rock, but it isn't great when you're moving and its rocking

Developer

Hey thanks! Sorry for it, normally i would've added an option to activate and deactivate it on the options, but the time was short of course :((

If i'll ever continue this game,  i'll make sure to add it ;D

Top Notch Game! This game is very fun and the title perfectly describes the game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! At first i also thought of "Tiny but Mighty", but the word BRUTE described a lot better the game >:)

Submitted(+1)

This is awesome and so cool. I love the art. I love To and Po. We need to get them even bigger guns. Great job!!!!

Developer(+1)

YEAAH BIGGER GUUNSSS btw thank you so much, this means a lot!

(fun fact: the names To and Po come from the italian word for Mouse, little easter egg >:D)

Submitted(+1)

Kinda difficult, but super polished. I really like how professional your art style is, looks like something straight out of a several year project. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you so much, it's really nice to hear this about my art style, thanks a lot! (Btw about the difficulty part im pretty confused, because some people think it is too easy and some think it is too hard I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AAAAH)

Submitted(+1)

the difficult part was just because I’m not used to those controls lol.

Submitted(+1)

Hell yeah. Chunky and satisfying. A lot of character packed into tiny game!

Developer(+1)

Heyy thanks a lot! Seems like i centered the satisfaction part then :D

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM !!! Euh CHEEEEEEEEEEEEESE I mean...

Insane game wooow ! I loved it ! 5/5

I just find that the difficulty curve increases too slowly, I had to stop at 600 seconds because it was getting a bit long lol

Developer(+2)

DOOOOOOOOOOM! uhm.. i mean Thank you so much for the 5 stars! I spent like a lot trying to find out the perfect difficulty and enemy spawn rate, but because i only could make just one enemy, I was pretty limited, so i understand you! Also damn, you got a score 3 times higher than my record holy shit AHAHAAHAH i would've get bored on my own game a lot earlier lol

Submitted(+1)

5/5 amazing game and great concept!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much for the rating! :D

I'm a sucker for thick high-res pixel art styles like this and the polish and game feel is just amazing, definetely expect to see this in the top 100

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much dude! I hope i'll get top 100 just like you said :')

Just so satisfying! Quite short, but it's just a very tactile experience. I really like the movement, the knockback, the intense music. Can't wait to see this as a full fledged roguelite, with upgrades and everything ;) As someone who also made a top down shooter for this jam, there is a lot of inspiration to be gained here.

Developer(+1)

Heya thanks you so much! Yeah it's quite repetitive, but as you said i could maybe expand this idea into a full game with different guns maybe and idk something to make it less boring. We'll see! :D

Submitted(+2)

You have a follower ;)

Awesome job! Graphics and sounds are amazing and the gameplay really smooth! At the end I tried to "cheese" it by jamming myself in the corner and shoot generally in the direction of the cheese :D

Developer(+1)

Heyy thank you sooo much! It's nice to see how people play the game differently from me and how they find new strategies :)
