Neat Idea, level design could use some work and puzzles could be more simple but intricate. Also I would suggest scaling object only when you have clicked on them, Because at the moment when there are various object and you want to do a specific one it some times messes with selection

This is a nice idea, but because of the low visibility you often have to guess what to do and have to die repeatedly just to catch a glimpse of the next steps required, I'd recommend making the camera a lot larger

There are some really good puzzles, but it crashes a lot and the jump feels uncomfortable.

Developer

thank you for playing!, I am sorry for the issues, do you mind telling me the browser you used to play?

Submitted

I played in google chrome

I really like it! I just wish I could hold down the mouse buttons instead of repeatedly clicking them.

I feel like the puzzle design here was really well-done! It could use some additional polish + bug fixing, but I think you have a knack for design and it clearly shines through here.

The puzzles were well made! I have some feedback though:

  • It would be good if the camera is zoomed just right to capture only the level and not the outer regions.

  • Holding down the mouse button instead of clicking to scale the blocks would immensely improve the UX.

Other than that, I crashed on the snail level, so I guess there are some bugs left to iron out, but that always happens in jams.

Cool puzzle platformer. The blocks feel too slow to grow/shrink. Other than that a few bug fixes and this has to potential to be an excellent game

Overall, this is a great game, I had fun playing it. I suggest you should fix the bugs (negative scale, stuck in the ground, etc) and make the levels harder and longer.

Woow, awesome art style and color palette! Really creative take on the theme! Awesome job!

Okay, first of all. I think this is a super unique idea. Growing a platform to press a button or using a platform to push another platform into the button is something I haven't seen in this jam so far. It's always so cool to see completely different approaches.

The movement feels really great and responsive.

Only imrpovements:

The music is a bit laggy (it sounds like it cuts off here and there).

Try not showing the outside of the levels (more tiles to cover the background would have been better, imo).

Besides that, I think you really have something here, and I am interested to see where this goes. Good job!

PS: What did you use for the lava? A voronoi texture?

Developer

thank you for playing I am glad you liked it will look into implementing and fixing issues once the jam is over

Yes the lava, uses a seamless noise texture, resampled twice with UV's moving in opposite direction and combined.

Game had a bug during the snail level,I had fun with the mmechanic, I feel like this game a lot of potential but it was very hard for me to repeatedly click and right click the things to grow/shrink them would be nice if I could just hold down the mouse button

Game crashed but I was having a blast with it. Not the first puzzle platformer I've seen with resizable platforms, but it IS the first one I've seen that uses the resizable platforms to interact with other game elements. Very clever! My one minor nitpick is I would've like to just hold down the mouse button to shrink or grow the platforms, rather than having to repeatedly click, but that is very minor. Great job!

I am glad you enjoyed the game , thanks for the feedback I will fix things in the future 💖

4 days is not a lot of time. Hard to ship something bug-free. You did great!

Nice level design, pacing was really well. Loved this platform concept

Very cool game! There are some bugs that make you restart the whole game, and you should scale the game to fit also while its not maximized. Other than that it has nice puzzles and a cool mechanic, good job!

Fun concept with the platforms, and I can imagine a concept where it makes sense (e.g. you're a wizard with a wand). Some funkiness where it seemed to shrink to negatives (e.g. getting big but flipped), but that's minor for the level design and stuff. Nice!

Really good use of a simple mechanic for interesting puzzles.

Nice size changing platformer concept, good job!

Nice concept and level design, well done :)

Really made me pause and think for a bunch of these, well done! I'd love to see this concept being explored in more games. My suggestion to improve would be platforms that go with fewer clicks (maybe switch between 2~3 modes). That would feel better and leave less space for bugs!

Love the artstyle and the color palette, easy in the eyes. Pretty solid level design for a 48 hours game, especially for a solo developer! Cool concept and execution. Good job on the game! :)
