I really like the idea of the game, its very creative, I never thought of something like that! I suggest to have some visual to help know the direction of the wind. Other than that, I though thegame was really interesting, so well done:)
There already are the wind and gravity particles that sway into the direction of the force. But if that's not enough, then we'll definitely look into how we can improve it! Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing! :)
This was a lot of fun, and has a really neat concept! The levels felt well-designed and never became too frustrating, though sometimes it felt like I was brute-forcing my way towards a solution rather than solving a puzzle the "proper" way. Good work on this!
Awesome, that's very nice to hear! I crunched the levels on Monday night, had maybe 3h of sleep that day before my actual work :) would not recommend
There is no "proper way" to play this game - as long as you reach de goal, you're doing it right :D I was enjoying myself during playtests trying to find ways to beat the levels in unconventional ways and then adjusting the levels to discourage shortcuts. Nonetheless, there are still plenty of ways to work around it!
Really fun and unique game! I really like the wind controls, they allow for an interesting way of controlling the ball which is challenging but still fun. The gravity controls are a bit harder to work with and also weren't as useful as the wind for beating the levels in my opinion. But still a great concept with interesting level design. It had some cool visual effects too, like the wind particles.
Wise words, we'll definitely work on the controls and more balance between wind and gravity. Glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing! :)
Nice game mechanic! The level design clearly highlights it, well played!
Thanks for the kind words! I crunched the levels on Monday night, had maybe 3h of sleep that day :D not recommend. I'm super glad you enjoyed them though, appreciate it!
With this context that's even more impressive! XD Did you have any kind of process to build your levels?
Nothing too fancy honestly. Most of the levels I placed stuff semi-randomly first, then played it once or twice to see what happens with the ball, then went back to level design to make it a bit more interesting, then playtested again, moved stuff around again, rinse and repeat until the level felt like fun, not too hard and not too easy, and doesn't look like shit. I also tried to incorporate some unique mechanics every 2 levels or so, so that it progressed incrementally.
In the end I'm proud how it turned out :)
I like the music and sound effects but level 5 stumped me for a while, Overall i like the concept and very unique game with a very unique style i never seen before! Nice job!
(The only reason i got stumped is because i just woke up lol)
Ahh, the dreaded portal level :D hope you managed to get it till the end afterall!
Thanks for the kind words, appreciate it!
I like the music and the visuals is also pretty good. The idea is super interesting, but I do also find the game a bit too difficult to actorly play. Overall a good and interesting jam game. Well done.
I love that soundtrack, reminds me of Rimworld :). Glad you enjoyed, we'll definitely balance the game more in the future!
It's quite hard to control but this is a really cool concept. Good job!
We'll definitely work on the controls! Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed!
Tough to get a hang of, but pretty unique mechanics.
Thanks for playing! Indeed the learning curve might be a bit steep :)
Super fun game! The progression of difficulty felt very smooth and each level had just enough problem solving to really make you think without becoming frustrating. The music was very relaxing as well!
Glad you enjoyed! I love the soundtrack too, reminds me of Rimworld for some reason :)
Cheers!
Incredible idea! An awesome take on the theme. Nice job!
Awesome, thanks for the kind words!
The idea, incredible, and you still executed it quite well and being able to directly change the physics of the game felt very fun. However the controls could definitely be improved, but for a game jam game it was very good and I had fun playing!
Great, I'm super glad you enjoyed the game! We will work on the controls most definitely :)
Pretty neat concept and execution! I enjoy the chill vibes, and the idea of directly manipulating physics properties has a lot of potential. I will say, though, that it naturally ends up feeling finicky and like there's a little bit of luck to winning.
With a bit of practice, I think it's all about the skill then. Nonetheless I realize the controls still need some work, I hope we'll be able to polish it up one day! Thanks for playing!
Wow, that was the hardest game I've played this jam lol.
Very cool puzzle game and concept, I can tell you really turned up the difficulty for that last level and it took me quite a few tries lol
We didn't even mean to make it that hard, just came like that out of the box :D. Glad you enjoyed though, hope you were able to finish the last one :)
Haha yeah, after many tries
The mechanics are very cool but hard to actually finish the levels. However the idea is very creative and I haven't seen something like this before. Overall, pretty enjoyable.
Awesome, glad you enjoyed the game!
I liked this a lot. I really liked the idea of controlling the physics rather than the actual ball itself. It led to some interesting, puzzle-like levels, which I enjoy.
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it! :)
very interesting concept, but unfortunately i found the controls unsatisfying. perhaps the sliders could use less numbers since it took a while to get from one end to another and i dont sense any difference between say gravity 14 and 15. I do really like the simple level design; the portals confused me a little because of the colors but overall nice. thank you for submitting!
Very well noted your feedback, thanks a ton! I also feel like the controls need some work still, hopefully will be able to polish them some time. Thanks for playing!
I finished the game but it was very hard to do. I would have liked the physics controls to be larger on screen or have WASD affect the physics faster.
Great feedback, I hope I'll be able to polish the controls after the game jam. Appreciate your comments!
Very fun! Will have to come back and try to beat level 8; it's a doozy
It gives a satisfaction rush when you finally beat it, definitely worth it! :D
Very nice. Level 8 feels impossible at first but with gravity <=3 it is doable.
Awesome, congratz on beating the game! I'm truly impressed, didn't believe someone would actually do that :)
Very fun game! Kinda hard, i feel like going easy on the gravity is the best strat :D
Indeed, can get quickly out of hand if not cared for :)
What level did you reach? :)
I'm currently on the 8th level, the teleporter on the top is hard to avoid ^
Oh wow, didn't know anyone would reach that far! 8th one is indeed the hardest, requires a bit of tinkering to get the order right.
I'm super happy you enjoyed the game though, thanks a lot for playing!
