smol = invincible, was super fun to play, but the sprite scaling and shrinking became a bit of a problem as the screen was mixed with all sizes of monsters
That was kind of the idea of the game but there's the problem that the big ennemies still attack you sometimes and we didn't had time to balance that correctly. Thanks for playing :)
Cool idea, very nice style and art and great variety of enemies. Shooting those enemies and running from those bacteries duplicating every split second and other chaotic stuff was cool! The cheese powerups also were cool, But the fact that you could keep them and not die made the game a bit too easy I guess. The bullet powerup was cool but not visible in short range. Thank you for making this cool game. I hope I see more games made by you like this one!
Cool concept! The start could probably be balanced a little better - the enemies just swarmed to the point of preventing me from moving altogether a few times lol. The different buffs were cool, though the Bullet +1 didn't seem to visually change things. After a point the spawn rate of enemies went way down, so I'm gonna take that as getting to the end haha. Well done!
This is really good. The push and pull of you getting stronger and bigger and then your enemies getting stronger and bigger is really well done. Having the enemies "healthbar" be their size is really cool, and the enemy designs and mechanics are really cool. Great Job!
Idea of connecting health with scale is really good. Everything is super polished and really fun to play. Great work!
The scale to show health of enemies is genius move, and also your scale! Very nice game, I played for like 10 minutes thinking, soon I'll get out of the sea and start attacking people and tanks and helicopters :D I need more of that! Nice procedural animations on the fish btw! Very nice game and art! Also the game didn't feel too hard, or too easy, it just felt rightly balanced until the end when you just blast through everything! Also when they beat you back to small, you go so fast :D I enjoyed playing it!
It's a great game! The gameplay is fun and it's satisfying to scale up to the next size and encounter new creatures! The art style is also really cool and it had nice animations for the creatures as well.
the powerups all felt really good and were nicely designed for progression without feeling broken. also the enemies were all so cool and varied! it was neat to use them as a metric to see how far ive come.
game sounds fun and the game art really funny, and also youtube trailer is good idea maybe I should do it in 2025
This is so much fun! When you start seeing fish enemies is when you realize the true scale of this game. Kudos to the artists for making so many sprites. Could use a little more polish but other than that, awesome game!
Thanks from the artist !
so many enemies! I really enjoyed this game, so addictive!
That was more fun than i expected, the tutorial was clear but then once in the game theres no stats or scorekeeping. I ran out of ammo and was floating around trying to dodge germs while unsure how to get more. No clear win condition or high-score so i eventually stopped. Fun lil game, could be cool to play on mobile.
Would appreciate if you play & rate our game as well: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2024/rate/2914018
Thanks for playing, I'll rate yours of course !
Merci :-)
All your cheese belong to us!
Nice job!
I wasn't expecting the game to have so many enemy types. Every time I thought to myself "okay that's it" a new enemy type would appear like "no it's not, keep shooting my guy".
I think I valued getting player speed at the begining of the game since some enemies are faster then you but overtime DPS becomes way more important since enemies don't speed up (at least I think so - maybe they do) and the damage is also your source of healing while also defining your "progression speed". I think it would be cool to let player choose what type of powerup he wants when picking up cheese (just like in the mentioned below vampire survivors).
Also the fish animations are so stylish I am curios how did you make them?
Overall great game!
Thanks a lot for your comment, yeah i agree that the power up system could be better and we didn't had time to polish it correctly... And for the fishes, it's a lineRenderer in unity that i control with a script :) Glad you liked our game !
Oh, interesting solution! Will keep it in mind in the future. Thank you!
Reminds me of Osmosis Jones! I played this way too long, and grew to a size where the enemies couldn’t touch me anymore. My biggest criticism is, it was really hard to tell if I was moving or changing size without some kind of frame of reference like some background decorations. And I wanted to fight the green worm guy! LOL. Overall, nice cheese, nice game!
Thanks for your comment ! :D
The difficult spikes at the beginning and I think that's great. I have an intense moment shooting through the enemies, there is a ton of them, so diverse. The music doesn't get annoying the more you play. Its a nice game that can get into something bigger.
Thanks a lot ! :D
Cool idea! I had a great time and was eager for more haha, it was fun :D, Congratulation for making this!
I really enjoyed this game, the game play is really addictive! I got to a point where there were basically no enemies anymore.
Well done!
Must eat all cheese! Really fun game, loved the variety of enemies you could find.
Very addictive. I became so big the other enemies became invisible. Great job. Also loved that sometimes the shooting matched with the music, that could have been quite the feature.
