Very fun and unexpected twist to a classic gameplay!

A very creative approach to the theme with quite funny jokes, even thought provoking at times! 5/5

The game is short but beautiful. I loved the fact that art style change every time

Developer(+1)

thank you!! it was fun to tweak and figure out my own preferences in the art :)

VERY COOL AND ENJOYABLE, JAPAN IS STILL DEAD THO

Looks cool and maybe I missed a point but I was always just randojmly changing items until it worked.

Would be awesome with some kind of puzzle (Or I missed it 😅)

Developer(+1)

I wanted to make item descriptions the hint as to what kind of scale system each level used (ex: angel vs evil CEO) but I realized later that the right-click control wasn't as obvious. Learnings for next time! Thanks for playing!!

Very simple and nice game. Really loved the artstyle for different types of scales. One suggestion would be to have some sort of timer for difficulty (but I think you were going for a chill vibe so my suggestion may be invalid)

Developer(+1)

thank you! I thought about a timer for encouraging  a speed-run but you're right - after the bossa nova music choice, I didn't have it in me! haha

Very fun concept I haven't seen in another Jam game yet! Love all the little blurbs and jokes, very funny!

The style and concept of this game are both amazing, and most of the puzzles felt very rewarding and logical to solve. However, some of them were a little bit vague and felt more random, great game though!

thank you!

I like the idea of this game. I hope there is better way to understand what the weight or each thing (like in the second world where hotter thing is heavier).

Developer

thank you! I tried to use descriptions from right-click as a hint to figure out the rules and relative weights in other levels, but I realize that this mechanic could have been clearer. learnings for next time! thanks for playing :D

This was a lot of fun to play. I loved the first few levels having descriptions of how that scaleverse worked. Would've loved to see that continue. Also, wished there were more levels. Great job!

Developer

thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the descriptions, a couple of my friends who play-tested totally missed them haha

I love the idea of balancing out different aspects using a scale, and that the weight of an object wasn't merely dependent on it's physical weight but rather it's characteristics. I also really enjoyed the calming music and the varied art styles, all of which added a lot to the vibes of the game and made it a lot of fun to play! I think something that you could do to potentially make it even better could be experimenting with more complex themes that have multiple solutions in them to make the player feel prouder of coming up with their own solution to a tricky puzzle. Overall, great game!

thanks so much for the thoughtful comment! I love your ideas for improvement - was definitely on the same page before the inevitable scope-cutting time came around haha. thanks again! :D

This is an awesome twist on the theme! I really liked the sorting aspect and the simple gameplay. I imagine making all the art for the different levels took a while!

Very satisfying.

Developer

thank you! shifting styles made the art feel less of a slog! :D
