such a cute wee spooder. Love the fact that it has a tutorial! Not many get made in jams and its honestly worth its weight in gold. Real fun though and hope you continue to develop it ;D
Cool little game! Enjoyed the music a lot!
Would be very grateful if you tried our game!
Thanks for playing! I got you! :)
Great Game!
Beat my time, 46 sec
Fun game, good time, small time :)
Legendary time! Thanks for playing!
Lovely game, and a nice take on the theme! Spider was super cute too, good work!
Thanks for the kind words :)
Really liked the swinging physics and mechanics! Liked the art and music too!
Also nice concise tutorial! Many jam games don’t have and it’s nice this game has it. But maybe put the completed platform further away (outside of web range) so that the player is required to build to reach the platform?
If there was something I think can be improved would be to give less web to encourage more swinging and flying through the air instead of walking up on platforms. Maybe some line to guide where the player is going to shoot or some aim assist with a preview on where the web would land might be nice too?
Overall very nice game!
Thanks for playing! Definitely good call on the tutorial end being a bit farther, wanted to keep it easy but maybe made it a bit too easy lol. Also wanted to add in a shot preview visual that showed the length but ran out of time. Thanks for playing
A lot of fun! Swinging from rope to rope, is definitely the most exciting part, and just goes to show that grappling hooks do make every game better.
I really like the dynamic of building your own level combined with the Foddian gameplay; you can make the section more challenging by building less platforms in order to save silk, making your inevitable fall even more disastrous, but being able to catch yourself with a well timed web shot keeps you engaged while falling. I ended up using only single tile platforms on my playthrough, but I had so much silk to spare, that I never felt rewarding for doing so.
Swinging and climbing feel really great, but I wish the player's side to side movement was a little bit tighter, especially when just the tiniest bit of movement can spell a long fall down!
Something I would really like to see in the game would be more ways to use silk; even something simple, like assigning points for using less, combined with a speedrun timer, would add a lot of replay ability to the game!
Overall really fun and really nice job!
Thanks for playing! Yea I wanted to add a score that would reward your leftover silk and how quickly you got up but sadly didnt get to it. Thanks for the kind words!
:)
Enjoyable mechanics mixed with great platforming, unfortunately I didn't feel a need to use many of the more complex platform shapes but it was still fun trying to see how crazy of a course I could build.
Great little game!, really enjoyed setting up grapple point and then swinging onto platforms.
Game feel is locked down with the visual and audio assets. Especially love the music changing when your in build mode. Only gripe is the level feels a bit empty and back tracking is a bit annoying, maybe spreading out the bugs and adding some checkpoints could help! Still Really impressive for 96 hours!
Thanks for playing! Yea definitely wanted to add more bugs or static blocks/hazards to build around but didnt get to it.
I have beaten the game
I like visual style of the game.
Sometimes it is hard to jump from one block to another
I quite like this game. It has a lot of fun movement tech with wall climbing and swinging on a web. The music and the animations are also really good!
I wish there was a more explicit progression, instead of just climbing from one build platform to another. Or that you couldn’t fall further than the current screen. As it is, it reminds me of Jump King of all things.
The building mode is also easy to use.
Although, since it uses a resource, does it mean that you could softlock yourself?I’m dumb, you can delete platforms.Overall, this is a great entry!
Thanks for playing! I definitely took some inspiration from Jump King but didnt want it to be too brutal.
