Fun little game! I did have some problems with the initial cutscene but it maybe because my monitor is kinda bad lol
Thanks for playing! The cutscene was less interactive. We will surely improve on it in the future.
Oh, no, I mean that it got cut off and I couldn't see the text fully on the left and right. It might just be because my monitor resolution is small.
Oh I see. We didn't catch it in while testing. We will look into it,
Super cool game great take on the theme <3
Thanks a lot for playing!
Nice game. I like that the theme was interpreted this way.
Thanks!
That was a cute little game :) Keep it up, nice job! :)
Thank you for playing!
The game certainly needs some polish, but the idea is very creative, the current level design is fun and I like the overall aesthetic of the player, the enemies and the level. Also love the background music of each level. Good work on your jam submission!
Thanks for the feedback! We focused on building more levels instead of polishing the game. Thank you once again for the last minute review!
Noice!
Thanks!
Cute game! I wish the intro text could've advanced by clicking rather than be a sort of cutscene (because I couldn't read the first part fast enough and read the second part too fast and couldn't skip it). Sometimes when jumping you'd stick to the side of a platform unless you let go and let yourself fall. The music was nice! I wish a sound would've played when shooting a note. The little death sound scared me the first time haha
Thanks for the feedback! We would surely improve on the cutscenes XD
I like the theme interpretation alot, so nice job! I do think that with the shooting being the mouse button, the music should shoot depending on if the cursor is to the left or the right rather than the direction the player is facing, but maybe thats just me.
The scales would also get stuck sometimes on the walls and disappear at times where I felt they shouldnt.
Great job with creating it!
Thanks for the constructive feedback! We would improve on it in the future.
I love the little player fella, and although his hitbox interaction with the walls is a bit funky, I legitimately, unironically do love the fact that if a corner of his body is on the wall, he is on the wall.
Please do not ever change that. It's a feature.
That said, please refrain from having blind death jumps/routes.
Also the hitboxes on the spikes are a bit large, especially since they're not on the ground.
I made it past a few levels, but it's very hot at the moment, and my hand is hurting, so I'll come back to it another time.
Thanks for the feedback! Do play till the end, we have a final boss as well!
I cant stop trying though it can be hard sometimes, for I really want to hear the BGM for each level!
( our main characters are alike, unrest eyeball and bad controlling lol )
I love platformers with creative ideas! I love composing and listening to works others have composed! Thanks for the treat! I can see the efforts put into it!
Thanks for playing and I am glad you liked it!
You made me suffer and smile for almost an hour. Incredible game design:
- You made me laugh when I saw jpegs of scales as bullets
- You made me hate you with the fake routes (you are soooo eeevil)
- You made me enjoy the music, the guitar sounded like homemade and gave me an ironic vibe like "hey the world is simple dont expect some fancy music", even in a weird way I felt like the order of the music was correct in terms of hype and difficulty.
- You made me replay the consecutive spiky part on the last level before the boss A LOT OF TIMESS
- You made me laugh and scare on the boss fight.
Thank you for making a great submission and a wonderful experience :)
Whoops, sorry for making you go through an emotional roller coaster! The guitar was indeed homemade (cooked all the riffs in an hour :D , the levels were representing different scales from A to G; music was based on that too). I am glad you liked our game and thank you for a positive feedback!
Nice background music, albeit I’d prefer longer loops.
As for the mechanics, I think some coyote time and maybe jump buffering would help. And maybe zoom out the camera a little bit because sometimes I couldn’t see where I’m going.
And I’d suggest replacing the dead sprite with something else because that looks a bit off.
Overall, good job!
Thank you for the suggestions!
I love the musical scale idea so much. I think either a bit shorter levels or some checkpoints would be nice since dying was too punishing at the end of a long difficult level imo. But other than that an awesome game, I loved it <3
Also, I assume the soundtrack was original? I rly loved the songs
Thanks!
Ha! Great spin on the use of "scale". Fun little game with very nice music... If you could find the time to also rate our game that'd be awesome! :D
Thank you!
Cool idea, love the use of the musical definition of 'scale'!
Thank You!
A fun interpretation of "scale"! I do wish there were some checkpointing or something -- getting far into the level only to die was a little frustrating.
A checkpoint system would be great, I agree... Will keep that in mind for next time, thank you for the positive feedback!
Awesome entry, keep up the good work!
Thank you!
