Wow, the turn timer is brutal. This was quite a fun and frantic game, trying to take care of all of the threats while hoping they wouldn't make you too weak to keep dealing with them. I especially enjoy that you can make a comeback even when the board gets very small. It seems like the thing that overwhelmed me at the end was the sheer enemy count (making me die at a score of 2030). I do wonder whether it's sometimes worth letting an enemy cut the board to avoid a downgrade, but my first guess would be that it almost never is.

Awesome take on the theme. I was a bit overwhelmed by what it is going on at the beginning. But it was really fun. I like the fact that it it is turned-based because it gives me some time to think ahead.  If you decide to continue maybe a slower or level-based introduction to enemies and abilities would make it a bit easier for new players.

The whole experience and atmosphere were really polished and felt great.  Definitely a very strong entry!

Really nice game, it feels incredibly polished and on top of that, it's really fun. Love everything 5/5 well done :)

Amazing level of polish! This pretty much feels and looks like a finished game.

One thing I was confused about is when robots effect activates. It feels like for positive effect you have to destroy the robot and for negative it activates when it reaches the end of the field, but I'm not sure.

Developer

Thanks sm!!

Effects activate when you kill the robots, but if they make it to the end of the platform they will destroy a row or column instead

Damn, what a fun game. Everything is polished and so juicy. Had a ton of fun, congrats!

Great style, gameplay felt very polished. Have the difficulty scale based on enemy stats is fun gimmick.

I really like the style of this game! Feels very polished with all the sound effects and the music too! There were times when I was dealing with the enemies just fine and then they just all came at once and I died pretty quickly, which is probably a skill issue on my part :D

Nice game!

First of all I love the cover photo, second of all this is a very awesome game! I love the music I love the art! This is amazing

Developer

Thanks sm!!  Our music guys popped off for sure

Probably the best game I tried so far! I loved the music, the art style, the polish, the fight mechanic, and obviously the whole gimmick of the variables changing. This was a fun time for me. I got 1050 on the first try and then 1720 hehehe

Great polish, was a lot of fun to play. Even though I couldn't always figure out what was happening ahha

Amazing art style and gameplay was a little confusing at first until you get used to it. At first I didn't know what the indicators below the enemies are and what they do but I got a hang of things relatively fast. I feel like showing which tile the enemy will lane on after they move would help and also add a simple tutorial at first what the indicators below the enemies are for. Overall pretty fun game, good music, and effects but it gets a little repetitive

This game's got a great sense of art style.

The mechanics were a tad confusing at first, but you get the hang of things really quick. I think telegraphing how the sliders are going to change would allow you to better know when to be aggressive and when to be defensive

This game looks and sounds incredibly polished, well done! I also liked the game mechanics! They took me a minute to get the hang of, but once I did I found it very enjoyable!

Great work!

Amazing, once you get it it's very fun! I got 2.2k on my first try, although it took a while to understand mechanics. Very nice graphics and ost. Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you for playing, and for taking the time to learn the game!

Very fun game! Everything is polished and well done. I love the music and effects. It's very similar to a game I made once for Ludum Dare, you can try it if you want: https://cymus.itch.io/the-carver

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I see the similarity on the shifting play area! I like your game's balance between attacking and preventing your area from getting too small. Thanks for playing!

This was fun, I loved the level of polish on all the feedbacks and effects. I got to around 1.5k points before they finally got me. However, I was quite confused by the game mechanics. There seemed to be many different icons and it was difficult to react to them. In some ways the game felt turn based, but then there was the quite short timer at the bottom. At the beginning I was not sure if the game is meant to be more turn-based puzzle or action shooter. Some kind of tutorial would help a lot. I the end, I just blasted all the robodogs with as much wrench as I could yeet and it worked quite well :).

Developer

We appreciate your feedback! Yeah, it can be weird reacting to so many different icons at the same time, especially since the robodogs look similar except for the icon below. We intended it to be a turn-based + action hybrid where you could think, but still were under pressure. I'm glad you found some flow in your gameplay

Great submission. I really like the art-style, sounds and music. It feels polished and nice to play. I think it would benefit from enemy variety, but considering this is jam game it's understandable)

Thank you! Yes, the team was trying to make something small, polished and snappy, so we chose not to add more enemies than the saw dog. Thanks for playing!
