Love the aesthetic, it’s so cute!
I would have loved to be able to rotate the camera.
Great idea! I would have preferred simpler controls and some indication of which level I had reached.
Thanks for playing!
The controls take some getting used to, yes. It's a sandbox type of game so there are no real levels. You can build with what's available, or build to collect carrots and use those to expand your game area or buy new pieces for building. It's all up to you and what you enjoy the most :) me personally I like to play it most as a light puzzle, to figure out a build to get all the carrots in one roll. But I had friends telling me they just wanted to make something big. Just have fun! :)
I love this type of games!
I would've liked simpler controls and maybe a twist to shake things up a bit, it can get a bit repetitive and long with few noticeable changes.
Still a great game, it can be pushed farther!
Thank you so much!
The controls could use a revision, yes. Of I keep working on the keep it will be the first priority, and of course it would come with more content!
Very cute and polished game! Good job on your submission. It's unfortunate that the controls were a bit hard jumping back and forth between keyboard and mouse. The goal wasn't too clear to me either and I was a bit underwhelmed to only get one carrot after all that hard work. But I really enjoyed the concept! Would totally love to play a more fledged version. Awesome stuff!
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it :)
The controls are a bit hard, yes. But there should be no need to jump between mouse and keyboard. It was intended to be played with the Enter/right Shift/right Ctrl keys with the left hand, and the mouse with the right hand. Would you mind giving some more input on how you played, or how you would like to play? Any helpful information would be appreciated!
My apologies that the goal wasn't clear. It's basically to collect carrots so that you can expand your game area, and/or but new pieces to build with. But in the end it's a sandbox game, so it's all up to you. As long as you have fun with the building :)
Thanks for the input so far!
OK yeah! Sandbox makes sense! Then it would be nice to have more expressiveness, like choosing colour or decorations. Maybe getting evaluated by hamsters on how fun the playground is or something. Just some ideas.
I kept switching between mouse and keyboard because I’m not used to using the right shift and control keys. I used left shift and control keys and switched from mouse to use the Enter key.
I feel like most interactions could be done purely with mouse. That would have been the best,
No need to apologize btw! You did awesome work!
I really like the concept and design of the game, but the building controls can be a bit frustrating. I think it would be better if the mouse was used more for positioning the blocks, with them snapping into place as you move the cursor close to another block. And adding UI buttons for zooming and rotating the camera. Despite the control frustration, the game is great!
Happy to hear you like it!
I agree they are a bit of a mindbender and it would be very much worth it to try your suggestion thanks! If I continue with the game I'll definitely revise the controls :)
This is definitely one of the best games I've played during this jam! I very much enjoyed it and I hope you make a full release of this game! I'm not sure if I missed it, but an undo action button would work well (I accidentally deleted my structure near the end :') ). I also love that you need to keep in mind the physics of the ball and can't just make straight paths. Would be interesting to see some types of obstacles in the game in the future. Great job!!
Oh wow thanks a lot for the wonderful compliment!
Oh, so sorry about your build! But yes, unfortunately I didn't get to add a remove option and an undo button. If I expand the game they will be added for sure! Thanks a lot for the input :)
I like marble contraptions, so this was great! I think if you bound Q and E to rotate the pieces it would feel better controls-wise. I found my right hand switching between keyboard and mouse a lot.
Thanks! Happy you liked it.
Would you mind sharing more how you played? I planned it as being played with the right hand on the mouse, and the left hand on the Enter/Shift/Ctrl keys. Did you prefer using the left Shift/Ctrl? Or are you left handed perhaps? Would be interesting to learn more! Thanks for the feedback :)
Cute and relaxing game! love the concept and the UI+music really keeps you in the mood. Good job!
Thank you! That's what I was going for :)
I like the idea here! If there was a way to remove just one part of the track without removing everything, I didn't find it. Aside from that it feels like a cute little puzzle sort of game, having to find the path to the carrots and all. Pretty cute
Thanks for playing and I'm happy you liked it!
You can replace blocks by placing a new one in the same location. Unfortunately I did not have time to add a delete action. Thanks for the feedback, really appreciated!
great game, i like the clean UI, maybe here is a tipp for Windows Defender Notification issue, when you download the game and start:https://stackoverflow.com/questions/48946680/how-to-avoid-the-windows-defender-s...
Happy you liked the game!
Oh that's a great tip, thanks. I've heard it from other people as well that they have a Windows Defender popup :/
Fun style and relaxing choice of music!
Thanks a lot!
A lot of potential, but add a feature to play online so it can reach more people.
Thanks!
Yes, I realized it too late! Last year I tried making an HTML build and it didn't work, so this year I didn't think of trying. After I submitted my game I did try making an HTML build and guess what, it worked! So it must be that WebGL has improved a lot, which is a great lesson learned for next year.
Really cute game and nice mechanics, we enjoyed it! Could see expansions in the future that produced even more mechanics :)
Thanks a lot! Happy you liked it :)
Nice game !
Thank you!
Nice relaxing game, I got stuck in it for like 20 min :D
Thanks a lot!
