Fun game and nice art. But I feel as if a speed-up button should be added since battles can really drag (Mainly the knights)

Pretty nice and charming game, though for a game where all the work (apart from upgrades) is done by the gooblins, the game could have been more "dynamic" to watch. It's quite slow at the beginning, and near the end too fast when I realized purple gooblins were just so strong

Developer

thank you for your feedback and kind comment!! we do plan on retouching the balance of the scalers once we can update the build!

My hands are soaked in blood with the goblins I have sacrificed. There’s a charm where you don’t do the work much and let the characters do the work for you. Great job! image.png

Very fun game, you are very weak at the start but you can get the snowball rolling pretty quickly. GG

Game's fun, art is fun, story is fun, but that all doesn't matter; what matters is

why'd you make me send so many poor little gooblins to die ;-; They just wanted to live their happy little goo lives

Developer

thank you for your kind comment! don’t worry: they reform right back up while you’re in the menus! it’s why their number never decreases!!

This might be the funniest game I played so far, your power scales so quickly and shredding health bars is always fun.

Love the core mechanic which is very satisfying, and the humor both in texts and visuals. The balance could be better as the very first combat was the hardest and the last one the easiest in my game. Also I struggled to understand the interface (for ex I won 3 times the first guy before understanding that there was a map where I can choose the level)

Love the personality on show here, enemy design is full of variety (my favourite the blob, although I love the cyclops too!) and the flavour text (Equivalent to throwing 800 pebbles, definitely lighter than a horse) is wonderful!

The game gets especially fun as the numbers start to grow - with a couple of hundred gooblins and 60 high level grapplers even the mighty Kazan could not stand before me!

If you were to go back to this I think it could use a little balancing, as grapplers seemed especially powerful compared to everything else for the cost, but that's a minor complaint - this was a lot of fun, I was very happy to keep playing all the way to the end credits :)

so glad you played to the end and enjoyed the experience, thank you very much for your comment! figuring out how to do deformations for the gelatinous mass was so fun to fiddle with haha

we will definitely be updating the build as scalers do seem to outscale the enemies :)

Followed so I can check out the update, really enjoyed this so looking forward to seeing how it changes :)

This is so much fun, I love it! The game gets increasingly epic and I like the pace.

Didn't notice any bugs, though in my browser the game window resolution seems to be twice the normal size, hence game elements are small and spaced out. (But I got used to it!)

Really like your submission, and I feel all the love and effort put into it :)

thank you for the kind words! we really tried to get the scale to ramp up so i am glad you found it enjoyable!!

I loved the art style! A solid central gameplay mechanic and some great visuals and audio. It took me a couple of goes to figure out what was going on in the menu, but certainly a fun game!

thank you very much!

A bit slow in the beginning, but it gets better as you make more gold!

Pretty fun and really liked the music! I enjoyed sending out my gooblins to their deaths and then whipping up the next batch to replace them lol. The game did crash in the middle of fighting the knight, but other than that it was a fun experience!

Submitted(+1)

great art style and adore the music too

the drawings are really good

I had a lot of fun with this actually! I spent probably 20 minutes where I just kept throwing my gooblins at the knight. I do wish there was other creatures to fight. The gooblins are adorable!!! -Kaylee

Developer(+1)

thank you very much! there actually are other enemies (a total of 5 different ones)! once you defeat the knight, you can move onto the giant, you can fight it until you beat it and so on until you reach Kazan!

Submitted(+1)

I honestly thought the map was just decoration I somehow missed it being a level selection... Well I probably killed the knight 100+ times now while playing it in the background so I think I'll be able to take out the rest now lol. -Kaylee

Developer(+1)

haha don’t forget to buy upgrades and equipment with that money and equip them on your gooblins!!

Well done! There is so much to love about this. Its a little jank-ey but the theme works wonders.

* The music is incredibly well done

* The spritework on the Gooblins is quirky and fun

* The janky animations of the BBEGs sells the old school flash-game vibe immensely

I liked the windup. I did find a few bugs. Trying to take on the knight took a few tries before I got past it. I wish the earlier portions had a "speed up" button but that's mostly because of the crashing. Once I got to the more exciting parts, I didn't mind the pacing.

Very janky (unfortunately broke for me) but it has a lot of charm for sure!
