Great little game and love the style! Great mechanics idea, only thing I'd suggest is maybe a tutorial(but ofc this is a jam, time is a bitch). Would be awesome to see this polished up after the jam too. Really great job!
Fun concept! I liked bouncing myself off of the drums, but all that really did was knock me into enemies off screen lol. Would love a version with more focus on that movement option, and maybe strategically scaling enemies (so they knock each other into hazards, or something).
If you scale enemies they do actually die if they are knocked into a drum, just that it only works every other time. And you'll also need to wait for the right moment when they are in a group which doesn't happen often.
So yeah, I was thinking that's the right direction for this game, but didn't get to put it together in time. Thanks for playing :)
Muito interessante e divertido e acho q só faltou uma musica para complementar
Congrats on finishing this for the game jam! In reading your responses to other comments, you are an inexperienced dev, so good job getting something up! It moves great and you have a great idea for a mechanic. Definitely needs a tutorial up front (or least something explaining the controls).
cool game nice balls!
Congrats on your entry! I was a little confused at the beginning, I actually had to die a couple times to figure out how to play. But once I understood it, It actually became enjoyable. Moving with the drums was fun as well! Wish there was more polish and sounds but otherwise a wonderful entry :)
Thanks so much!
As an inexperienced dev the time limit was brutal, but I got to upload something at the very least. Will be patching it up for sure :)
I'm a simple dummer: I see drums - I like it!
interesting entry, liked the Art style (character is so cute !)
The bumps feels realy food,
I didnt manage to know how to get poitns thoo (even I granted 12 lol)
Any nice entry, good jb !
a very clever subversion to the twin-stick shooter/bullet-hell hallmark of “shooting off shots regardless if they miss”, since if you miss and hit the enemies here it might be game over for you! really interesting, looking forward to where this could be taken in the future
Really interesting concept! I like it, could use a bit of polish but it is a game jam after all! Nicely done.
I loved the way you used the theme, very fun game! I had a good time moving around with the character being hit by drums, if you move forward with the game, focusing on this feeling will give you an even greater game!
Good job
Nice game! Best part is using the drum to go fast!
This is a really cool concept! I really like that you need to use the environment to defeat the enemies and the animation is really funny! I'd love to see more in the future!
Cool concept. I was very bad at it lol. Enjoyed the art style. Congrats and good luck!
hehehe, Pinball Wizard.
The enemies had me puzzled for a moment, but it made complete sense what we were supposed to do once I figured it out. Great concept I'd love to see expanded into something more! (Bonus points for throwing in a racing level or two if you continue this because god bouncing around like a maniac is fun)
I enjoyed playing it for a bit. Always fun to see games make player kill enemies non-directly. But camera zooms in when you start walking and zooms out when you stop, it hurts my eyes a little bit. Also weird theme, like why are we in a void? Why we use drums to kill... dice??? they look messy so it was hard to understand what they are, when they constantly rotate and move. But main character looks great!
Also usage of drums makes it look more like you play them, rather than scaling them up. Also also, using drum + no sound = sad :(
Good job overall!!
Thank you! It was my first time making a game in Unity, and I absolutely didn't get to finish it! I was aiming for a magical feel, thus the musical wizard purifying the world from evil spirits. Or, just dice due to the time constraints. Non-existant background adds mystery, too! 🥴
I'll make sure to address everything on the game page, but it's all on my to-do list. Especially the camera movement, which can be made dynamic, but pleasant.
