What a cool atmospheric experience this was. The sound design and visuals are top-notch. I guess life is just a Roll of the Dice. We just all hope, that we rolled high enough when the dice stop spinning.
That was a great atmospheric game and overall a good experience. The dialog was really fitting and the "drunk driving" line hit me like a truck (pun intended). We are a the mercy of fate after all and this game definitely represents that.
Very original and atmospheric game that makes me feel anxious. 5/5
Very atmospheric!
Also quite frustrating, but in a really good way that made it feel really good when you finally land a 2.
Perhaps the ability to slightly slow down time while rolling the dice (like a button you hold that depletes a bar) would have been helpful, but maybe I was just really bad at rolling the dice!
Loved it! Super meditative and the sound design was top notch! Great atmospheric storytelling. Fab stuff!
Probably THE only athmospheric piece in the jam, it gives me hardcore Inscryption vibes.
Its a more emotional experience more than anything, i really felt stressed when i couldnt roll for 2s at all at the beginning of the game. Very interesting piece! Probably different from everything out there
Inscryption was quite a big inspiration, yeah!
I am super glad that you felt stressed and emotional. That’s obviously a very personal thing and you never know if people feel the same as you do or if you present them with something they can’t connect with. It’s always a bit of a guessing game and I’m glad I got a hit in with this one.
Thank you for playing!
Very good game, a fun take on the theme.
Thank you!
I really like this one. I think that dice have a lot of symbolic potential that most games in this jam haven't really tried to take advantage of, but you guys really went for it. I have a bunch of unanswered questions still. Is the point supposed to be that we know fighting fate is futile, but we do it anyway? I'm not sure that entirely fits, but it's the best reading I've come up with so far.
Gameplay-wise, I didn't really feel in control, although it still felt like there was something I could do better (during my second playthrough I did much better than random chance). I guess that's the intended emotional response?
Anyways, great entry.
Yeah, feeling not-in-control is definitely intended. It should be a somewhat stressful and hopeless experience. I believe that playing “good” makes the game less fun actually - it’s a bit of a conundrum for which I did not find a good solution in time.
Storywise this game has quite a lot metaphorical depth of course, but I got to be honest here and say that most of it developed during the process of making the game and is therefore not as clear-cut or clean as it could have been (which doesn’t always have to be a bad thing, but in this case it’s a bit confusing).
I actually personally went away from the idea of “fate” and more in the direction of random chance. Being hit by a drunk driver was a tragedy, but it always was random chance. It wasn’t fate. Though, gameplay-wise you are trying to change fate during your dicerolls and when you are talking about chance, there should be multiple outcomes to the game. That’s a result of the timelimit I had making this and also the process of creating. I didn’t start with a metaphor, rather I started with a scenario and went from there.
Thinking about it, I think your interpretation fits better, but it’s a mix of the two which makes it a little unsatisfying. If I’d ever follow up on the game, I’ll take this into account.
Sorry for the unsatisfying answer, but thank you a lot for playing the game, the kind words and the deep thoughts!
I felt really judged by the red dice ^^ Took me way too long to understand you had to do something with the mouse (in my case a trackpad) so I was just throwing dice and hoping for the best.
Yeaa, I think that wasn’t as clear as it should have been. Playing on a trackpad might make that a little less intuitive too.
Thanks for playing though! c:
Bro why you gotta hit me in the feels like that, I was not ready for it. I loved the experience. Talking about how it is very hard to actually hit the twos on dice would be missing the point. Great work.
Check out the project I created visuals and sounds for: (please rate it :) )

Luckily nobody complained about it (yet)! I’m glad to make you feel something with my game, that means a lot! I’ll look into your game
Actually loved the story behind it, whole game felt like a bit of a fever dream, or something you'd come up with in a regular dream. Controls felt smooth and ambience and music was on point. All in all great game!
That was the kind of vibe I was going for, thanks a lot!
Very cool concept and I enjoyed playing it all the way through! Love the ambience and narrative we get from it. Great effort and a very unique take on the theme!
I’m glad you liked it. Thanks!
Very creepy, I liked it a lot! I don't think any other games are similar to this at all, so good job!
Thank you!
Hehe, I won’t forget the moment you went like “ohhh, I get it”. That was great, thank you!
This was an amazing experience I did not expect out of the game jam. I think I failed at rolling enough 2s, but the sound and ambiance created kept me fully engaged throughout the game. Great entry, and thanks for sharing!
Again, thank you! It was really nice talking to you!
This has to be the creepiest entry of this jam I ever played. Good job.
Thank you, that means a lot
It reminds me of the game 12 minutes. In this short time it is able to evoke emotion in me, i feel a connection with the game. It's top 1 form me 5*!
That’s insanely high praise, thank you!
yo this immersion and narrative went hard
hehe, thanks c:
I didn't expect to see a narrative game in a jam like this, but you managed to combine it with the theme of the jam really well. This game is a fascinating and unique experience.
Thank you so much!
Chilling game, must play through it to enjoy it. Seriously have goosebumps after this, goodjob!!!
Thanks a lot, I apprechiate it!
