Very cool! Such a fast-paced game that gets the player into it nicely!
thank you!
Of all the top-down shooters I've played so far, this one felt like it has the most distinct weapons, even though some of them were a little hard to use
On my to-do list for v1.1.0 is being able to middle click near an enemy to snap your cursor to them.
Some great gameplay ideas in this, such as the walk-through walls and the freeze for a few seconds if you roll to much.
thank you!
Campaign was very neat, it's impressive what you designed out of the few kinds of obstacles you created
Could not get very far in Endless :<
honestly no sweat in not getting far in endless. I threw it in like 30 minutes before I submitted, so it needs some balancing imo
The gameplay loop is really fun so the endless mode really makes a lot of sense. The interface tells you everything you need to know and the minimalistic graphics help with visibility.
I'm glad the minimalist graphics worked. I wasn't sure if they'd just end up looking ugly or not.
Very enjoyable. I especially appreciate how responsive the controls are. Dodging feels incredibly good.
thank you!
This is such a cool and fast-paced game! I am bad at shooters, but I had a lot of fun playing!!
thank you!
I love that the dice roll is an action you choose to take with a consequence to react to, rather than a forced-random implementation of a core game mechanic. I think it's incredibly important that you didn't include 'bad' guns, and the rest of the game feels fast - I'm not incentivized to hide behind a wall rolling for my favorite weapon, and I don't feel bad when I get a pistol, but I feel awesome when I roll away from an enemy and land on a 6.
thank you! That's what I was going for. My main regret was that a lot of the weapons feel the same. The carbine, rifle, and revolver all kinda feel the same just with slight differences in damage and cooldown. If I had more time, I would've added more variety in the weapons, such as making the carbine a burst fire, or a minigun with large recoil.
Very fast-paced, very awesome game! It's got the just one more go feel. I can see the speed runners really enjoying this one!
Very cute minimalistic game!
This is such an interesting game. I really like the game play. Its the correct amount of hard and fun for me. Enjoyed it :D
thank you! I was worried about the difficulty when I uploaded it, but I'm glad it hit the right balance for you.
I like playing difficult games so it was good but I can easily see it be challenging for a lot of players. However the gameplay mechanics are interesting so restarting isn't an issue
Enjoyable minimalistic game. Shooting feels great. And when I'm playing games on jam, I very rarely click on restart. But when I playing in "Dodge roll", I click on restart many times.
Good job.
That roll/dash/reload idea is very cool, works very well !
Cool jam entry!
I like the juice and the weapons are good and responsive. Good job!
I really like how you implemented the roll into the game with the weapons, the music was also great and engaging
Thank you! You can thank some random person on freesound.org for the music. People making royalty free game loops are the heroes we need in today's society.
I really love the idea how roll is used!
I like the fact that I can change categories with the die. its very fun ! hahaha
thanks! I assume by categories you mean the weapon change after each roll? Thanks again.
