This game has really pretty art. Especially I love that fat mushroom very funny design xD
Unique core mechanics that you can throw your dice to get differents effects from each side. Its even possible change and upgrade to make a build that fit my playstyle. I made a score around 500 I was very proud but when I saw that leaderboard... haha :D

Very fun game! Looks fantastic too.
Slight nitpick is that at later levels if you use the right die then you can level up near instantly and it breaks flow quickly. Apart from that I loved it!

That's true. We kinda aimed to balance the 3 to 5 first minutes of gameplay, as it's the general time people play a jam game. As a result, the mid to late game is unbalanced and very repetitive as enemies don't scale, neither do you. That will be fixed in the post jam version!

This is very well done. I don't think the slippery control scheme that was chosen really suits this kind of game. Its not very fun when you take damage because you drifted into an enemy in spite of correcting your direction a quarter second before. And getting your dice stuck in a huge blob of enemies is basically a death sentence. perhaps add a way to manually recall a die to you, even if it requires a long cooldown or something. All in all, i love the idea, it is organically fun to play, and i would probably be willing to drop some money on this.
Thank you very much for your feedback! You're right about the controls, it should be more precise in order to moove around he enemies and not into them. We'll work on that in the post-jam version!
For the dice getting stuck into massive pools of enemies, we'll perhaps make the waves smaller, but we'll see! It totally deserves some thoughts.
it's not so much that the enemies spawn too fast, just that depending on where they spawn and how quickly you can dispatch them, you get into a state where you can't do anything because all of your actions rely on the dice. i guess it is a skill based barrier, so it is not really a "problem." the feeling of helplessness and slowly watching your health bar go from full to half as you try to get to your weapon just kind of sucks.
I see, I get that. Maybe yes, a way to manually return dice could do the trick.
Really incredible entry. The graphics are stunning, and the gameplay is varied, satisfying, and engaging. Huge props to everyone who worked on this!

Absolutely fantastic game.
It's very clear that you are an experienced group of devs who know what you are doing.
The only thing to note is that the difficulty ramping was fairly slow and could use some tweaking.
At one point it felt easier than in the beginning. You could possibly skip a few of the waves and make it harder faster.

Super well done! Great art, great audio, very satisfying gameplay when killing the enemies. Great challenge too, and to be able to implement a leaderboard in a game jam is just impressive. Amazing job!
Hey thank you ! The leaderboard system is custom, but it was ready before the jam. I plan to make it a package that I use for most of my jams an that can distribute to other jammers, maybe at a very low price just to pay for the server. This jam is a great occasion to test it !

Every once in a while you get randomly assigned a game to review that just absolutely nails it. This is one of those games.
Loved the use of the theme, the randomness plus the roll as a physical weapon is fantastic. Strategic depth of play, fantastic art and that core gameplay loop of lining up and crushing your enemies just slaps.
Even for a team of four the amount of polish you got in is super impressive. Hope to see you in the finalists.

Yooo awesome game I ended up playing an hour and a half trying different strats (still couldn't get very high xD). Arts was top tier, sound/music were top tier, game was top tier. The mix of 2D and 3D can be hard to pull off, but it was done seamlessly. Well done to your whole team!
Here's some bugs/issues I found, most of them REALLY minor
-clicking back and choosing a different upgrade doesn't update the preview icon
-settings menu says "Play" instead of back
-"My Score" part of the leaderboards wasn't showing my score, but then it was working after I restarted the game
-someone had a really long name that fit onto 2 lines on the leaderboard
-add some invulnerability after getting damaged
-if you stay moving next to an enemy that damages you, it wont damage you again until you move away from it. Not a common problem because they get knocked back anyway
-it seemed like projectiles didn't always damage me even when I walked right into them
-if die is skewed when you pick it up, sometimes it boosts you when you throw (I think because the die is pushing the player).
-you can get consistently the same roll by throwing die at a rock from a short distance. Having the die rotating randomly above player could help (if this is unintended)
-all of the buttons change color instantly when you click them except for the arrows after you click play, and the sliders in settings menu
-the itch link was put where it says Twitter in the credits
-spamming the flip dice button makes things go nuts
