I really like this game, especially given that it was a last-minute game! The art and animations are amazing!

I’m sure you know this, but some sound could have added significantly to the game. Something else that would have been helpful would be giving the player’s hitbox curved corners, especially on level 3 right before the second die. Another thing that could have been really helpful is coyote time for the jumps.

Also, personal nitpick - you said wasd move, but neither w nor s actually do anything. That’s still probably the best way to have said it (if you said ad to move, that would have caused more confusion), but there’s just a little bit of annoyance on my end there.

Besides that, given your timeframe. the game was really well-made! I loved getting Poker Times - it always felt so random. I also loved stacking powerups (jump boost + speed boost + low gravity = feels OP) Great job!

Developer

Thanks so much for all the feedback! Next time I make a platformer I'll make sure to add some more of the nicer details like coyote time. Also your right about the WASD thing, I didn't even think about that.

Pretty fun, game! I thinks some screen shake and sfx would really help it out

Developer

Yeah some sound and extra polish would have definitely helped. Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks for the kind words!

This was fun to get loads of power ups and dart all over the place! Some cool sound effects could've been cool though to see this was thrown together in couple hours is impressive!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Your totally right about the sound effects, I wanted to add sound however I just ended up running out of time.

That is a shame!

This is fun, a platformer where you can get a ridiculous speed and jump height is amusing and addicting. I think you can come up with even more challenging and complicated levels around that idea alone, cant wait to see more of this if you decide to expand more! Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words and for checking it out! Perhaps I'll expand on the concept more however this is the first game that I've actually made public so I'm most likely going to continue making some more small projects first.

Gets really hard after a couple of speed boosts :) Anyways nice job!

Developer

Yeah, at a point the dice become more like obstacles then boosts. Thanks for playing!

Cool game!  The dice blocks are a lot like the ? blocks in Mario Kart.  I think with some more iterations, you could design some more interesting random effects.  I found myself avoiding the blocks more because the superspeed was hard for me to control lol.

The art is awesome! I love the character and all of the color palettes fit together nicely.

Awesome job!

Developer

Thanks for checking out the game! I wish I had more time to add wacky effects.

Love zipping around the map with the speed boost!

Pretty fun little platformer, I think the random effects restrict the level design a little bit though. I do like how the game allows you to stack the effects a huge amount, kinda like Risk of Rain 2. Overall, pretty decent little platformer.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out and giving feedback!

For creating this in a few hours you did a great job. It has a few obvious problems people already pointed out, but the gameplay is still fun and I really like your main character. I am also a huge fan of Poker Time, I think it enhances the experience a lot and I am always happy to get it.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Hm, this is typcial platformer but i like it! Gameplay isn't bad, but I hate when you don't see what's in the pit from below, suddenly there's an island, BUT NO, THERE ARE THORNS! Btw, art style is amazing :3

Thanks for the feedback, and yeah I probably should have made sure the spikes were visible.

The main thing is to learn from your mistakes, good luck)

Good luck to you as well! :D

For a game made in a few hours, this was pretty good! The art style was nice and I liked how the effects can stack, for example, if I get the jump boost modifier twice, I would jump incredibly high. My complaint is that some levels had jumps that were pretty frustrating to attempt, especially with the speed boost modifier. Other than that, good job!

Developer

Yeah I agree and think I could have probably spent some more time designing the levels, thanks for the feedback!

Style is cute. Jumps are a bit frustrating, though.
