Well presented straightforward puzzle. I like that you opted to use a D12 as that added a nice movement pattern. Personally, I didn't really see the need for the random face, there weren't really any scenarios where I couldn't get the face that I required.
Nice presentation, a 3D game in godot and it works :) Good idea to have different skills on the dice faces, putting the dice in the center of the game while adding interesting mechanics to it.
creative and fun game design! The game movement feels really smooth and the powerup mechanics are fun to play around with as well. The gameplay is a little hard and 'rage-inducing', but I'm pretty sure that was the game feel you were going with in the first place, so great job!
What a satisfying sandbox experience. This jam had a couple of games, this included, convinced me that Godot is a powerhouse and that I have to check it out the first opportunity I get. Amazing work!
Thank you! I find it very easy and satisfying to work with godot. Sometimes there are limitations but most of the time there is either a workaround or a more advanced but difficult technique that you can use. I’m currently trying to improve performace by bunching up the jenga blocks. Its much more difficult than just instancing it a 1000 times but its a significant improvement.
Very fun! Love the VFX. I love how you can get some crazy speed if you time it correctly! The dominos are so fun! One of the best submissions I've played.
A very solid game! Loved how quickly you gain momentum since you are a D12 dice (a lot better for physically rolling from point A to point B using a physics system with force). The cooldown for the ability spam prevention is just enough, doesn't feel overly restrictive at all. It takes a bit of patience to scale some towers, however I enjoyed it entirely, and I hope to see more games being made by you!

The game is creative and suits the theme. I really like the explosion and just go everywhere to mess around. The purpose of the game wasn't so clear for me though, probably you should include in the description
Okay, this is fantastic. Everything feels super polished and good to control. The restarts being placed at every pawn is a great consideration. I really like the effects on the different abilities, especially the explosion particles. Please give me more dice walls to destroy with it. Overall great game and very well put together considering the time limit. I'm truly honored to share project names lol.
This is not only the best game I played of this jam so far, but probably my favorite game jam game I played, ever!
This mechanic is seriously wicked! The weight of the die movement is just right. The abilities are very well balanced. I like how the dash and jump are the abilities you probably want most. So a explosion which can explode away the domino pieces under you making the level incompletable is the perfect way to prevent spamming and forcing the player to actually learn how to not only control the movement of the die, but also the timing at when the correct ability is facing upwards. I love the random ability you've thrown in there as well. If this were a full game (which I would 100000% buy btw) I can already see the streamer reactions when they accidentaly pressed a little to late, making them fly of a tower.
There was a moment where I was preparing a jump, but I noticed that if I would just keep pressing forward I would not get the ability I needed, so I course corrected with a little tap and just barely got the ability I needed. I have trouble expressing in words how much I love this mechanic!
While the shading has a simple style, it really compliments the platforming and toybox feel. I also love the effect you added to the die.
If you continue with this, please post updates on your itch.io. My eyes will be glued to the notification window.
Thank you, it means a lot to us that you like it that much :)
My teammate did the level design, and yes, one of my favourites was when you have to jump on top of a couple of cards to reach the pawn. You mess up, you fall all the way down :D
We are thinking about a full game, maybe with coop. We will see how that goes.
We had almost the exact same ideas for the die and abilities (not the rest though). We however did not manage to execute our idea and had to change the mechanics, but you guys did! So great props for that 😃🙏
Great game! Interesting concept! Can't believe you made all that in 48 hours. Keep up the good work mate!
Almost reminds me of snake pass! Great job!
Really fun game! I love how challenging some of it is and how precise you have to be. And then still being able to move fast around the level is satisfying as well. All around great job on the design and execution!
I really liked this game! The idea and way that it plays are really nice! This is the kind of game that I would love to play a full version of after it gets a bit more polish for a full release.
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it :)
I like that you supported Linux (Even though it would probably run fine through WINE or Proton)
The game feels nice to control, I like the parkour aspect and the little bit of puzzle as well (I had to move some dominos to get to higher places)
The only negative thing I could think of is the small map size, but this is a game jam and not everyone has the time to play each game all the way through so it might actually be a good thing for some.
Of course, I’m a linux user myself :) The game was partially developed on linux, partially on windows by other team members. Luckily godot, blender and other cross platform tools make this basically unnoticeable.
Originally we planned a linear map with consecutive challenges, but that is much harder to balance and we were running out of time, so we decided a sandbox playground would be better. It also helps that this way you can run around aimlessly and have fun just by bouncing and making yourself ridiculously fast. Extra points if you happen to jump into a puzzle and cheese it that way.
Hello! Played your game. as you said, we have similar concepts) I didn't like the controls, in my opinion it’s too complicated, I liked the visual component, the game looks beautiful!
Realy really Fun!! The movement was way way better than my game. I really enjoy it.
I liked that it has parkour and how the dice didn't broke the flow of the game being able to activate the abilities even if you are rolling at fast speeds. The only thing I could say about the game is that the parkour section was a little similar but that it's nothing compared to any game I have played.
I really want your game to win
Also how you did do the outlines? they look really good.
I had tried to do them but they look really bad.
Im glad you like it :)
The outlines are basically the inverted hull method implemented in a shader. You can find very good descriptions and tutorials if you look it up with this name.
If you had some specific problems maybe I can help with it if you send a screenshot.
i enjoyed the art style, and the mechanics were quite creative. my one pet peeve would be that it's a little challenging to maneuver, but other than that, it was quite fun to interact with the environment using the different abilities!
Really fun game. Just rolling around and knocking stuff over was absolutely enjoyable because of some fun physics. Good Job!
You managed to put two different games I wanted to make at different points into one. I can both be a regular dodecahedron that rolls around, and climb mountains. I have no complaints. I liked the art, gameplay, music, and sounds (mostly, the explosion sounded more 8 bit than would fit the art style). The thing that really solidified my love for the game was that you put card towers in it, not for the sake of the goal, but because knocking down card towers is fun. This was my favorite game so far, thanks for making it.
I’m glad you liked it so much!
I think you are right about the explosion sound, it could have been better.
