Game Description
Take a journey through time and explore the marvels of the ancient world in this 3D action platformer

How does your game tie into the theme?
I think ancient civilizations are really fascinating, so I made a game where you race through and explore famous structures and architectures from the past.

I love the use of many different ancient settings to provide lots of variety, there's a surprising amount of content! Each level felt unique to the era as well, and not just a reskin, really great job! The ending was a fun way to tie it all together :)

The controls felt really snappy and satisfying too!

Nice ancient 3D Speedrun platformer. It reminds me of the good old Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia days :)

Amazing 3d platformer, I had a great time playing it!

Very nice game, i love it i got 395 secs

Developer

Thank you for playing! Great time :)

Nice 3D platformer!  It felt kind of like moving around in Minecraft, but with ancient structures!  I'm impressed you built all these environments to explore / speedrun in just 9 days!

I got to the Colosseum before having to quit since I was feeling a bit motion sick, but that's not a fault of the game (Minecraft also makes me motion sick).  Overall I really enjoyed it!  It's a very atmospheric game.

A very simple game. But SO fun. I was a big fan of the old counter strike jump maps and this reminded me of them. I had a lot of fun. It's weird though that the camera always rotates to the right a bit.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing :) I'm not quite sure what you mean about the camera, it might be your mouse?

Submitted

Possibly. Even when I didn't move the mouse, the camera rotated slightly. Maybe it was just my run, I'll try again!

Developer(+1)

That's weird, it does not happen for me. When I do not touch the mouse the camera is still. Over the years I've had times where dust or something gets under the mouse and it makes the cursor drift a little bit on its own.

Anyway, thanks again for playing :)

What a great entry!  Not only does it feel like a complete game, but you managed to create four levels.  I was impressed with how much you were able to accomplish.  The art itself could use some polish, but the level design itself seems pretty solid.

Very fun! I liked how snappy and quick the controls felt. I think the jump maybe could have done with a fraction of a second more hang time in the air and it would have felt even better!

Submitted(+1)

I fell. A lot. The checkpoints were a big help! The soundtrack was epic!

Pretty fun game. I really liked the Rome level. I would have loved seeing more traps :D

Game would benefit a lot from a better jump imo. Great entry!

Developer

Thanks for playing -- do you mean like being able to jump higher?

Really cool short platformer. I enjoyed playing it although I was falling a lot. Good work!

Great work on this one, well thought out timeline and different environments for each.

My times are..

  • Egypt: 62
  • Maya: 53
  • Greece: 150
  • Rome: 135
  • Total: 402

.. not very good I know!

I learned a lot from this tutorial, it might help you too! :)
