I'm too dumb for this game. Can't get past the title screen. I've clicked and click-dragged everywhere, but not much happens. (Maybe an issue with MacBook inputs)
Loved the aesthetics and the introduction! I did get kind of stuck at the part where there's a gap and a bunch of torches in the previous room, and I couldn't figure it out, but the game is fun and I love the little mouse cursor!
Love the graphics and music a really well polished game in my opinion.
Only concern is in lighting the podiums? It has to be in the perfect spot in the top to light. Maybe making it light when you click around the area to make it easier for the player.
Cheers!
huh really? In my experience the light area is was actually somewhat forgiving. I wonder if you’re experiencing a bug?
THIS IS AMAZING
oh damn thank you!!
One of your videos let me get inspared by making game. There is other videos. But your one of them. 😊
amazing visuals, nice puzzles, and great controls! kinda hoped that right click mouse is the dash because somehow I keep subconsciously doing that to put out the fire but other than that everything feels great
I didn't manage to finish the last challenge tho, I kept running out of health, probably just a skill issue
Unfortunately, I got stuck on a specific spot in the game where there were a total of 6 torches and 3 moving platforms to navigate through. There was a barrier at the end of that which would not open.
Others seem to have made it past, though, and therefore I must say I'm sorry. Something is clearly wrong which has hindered my experience.
“something is clearly wrong which has hindered my experience” it’s a puzzle, keep trying you’ll get it. I believe in you ;) although for a hint I would say don’t worry about the 6 torches
Beaultiful game, congrats!
thank you!
Great game. Here are some takeaways which I'm sure you've already thought of:
- Text box could be more graphically appealing.
- Text should fade in and out in same way the text box does.
- Add voice lines and more SFX.
- Ending was sorta a let down.
- The scene transition was sometimes jarring. In the end, when the camera zooms out or zooms back in if you go back to the campfire is less jarring then the sudden camera replacement. I guess it doesn't quite work that well for top down games. It was fine for your last platform game. Maybe add a smooth lerping-type motion or maybe a small fade in/out or wipe (like how Zelda(?) does it).
Regarding the gameplay, you're getting better and better at the feeling of tightness and control. Although, it was a little hard to master the lighting and then attacking loop at first, it felt great in the end. Level design was top, too.
Can't say enough about your theme-ing too. Fitting and poetic, maybe.
How did you do the glow effect on web version? i got impressed with that. the game is beautiful. I really liked the wolf with sword, and the spark illuminating around. Beautiful game.
I think your windows export is missing the package file - it's just the exe
I really liked how it looks and the fire puzzles reminds of when i was a kid playing zelda it was a little unclear that the dash was also an attack but overall really good game
As always very creative idea and a good take on the theme.
Wonderful art and animations. You have a nice, distinctive and recognizable style. Music pushes you to action and has that hopeful tone.
Some of the puzzles were a bit cryptic at first, I thought that maybe there's a bug preventing me from going further, but I figured them out after some time and that made me feel smart :D So great job with puzzles - not too obvious, but also manageable and they introduce game mechanics well.
I was not able to complete the final stage though. I always ran out of health at the enemy between 2 torches.
I wonder where you got the inspiration for protagonist from :)
Great job!
good game (some notes are way to high in the song)
