Good idea! I liked the art style and the characters' abilities. However, it is not always clear what needs to be done; at some point the prompts did not appear at all, but after a while they appeared.
Yeah, it kinda comes with the genre.
Would've been a good co-op.. If I had any friends to play with

I was looking for hidden gem and I I found it! Had a chance to have friend :p we had a lot of fun together and even if the game block us sometimes, we had no probem to retry the full game because we loved it!
bugs:
- the little character blocked in the first tunnel when it as not the power to shrink yet.
- we add another bug where the vfx on upgrade collect didn't disappear, so we couldn't continue the game and had to reset.
Maybe having some autosaving with checkpoints, would have been preferable.

Thanks for the feedback, I did encounter the vfx bug during playtesting, but wasn't sure what's causing it and didn't have much time to really look into it, so I just hoped people won't encounter it.

I do have plans to release a more polished version once the jam ends though.

I think the bug occurs when dark and darky collect the upgrade in the same time, or when you re-enter in the upgrade when the vfx is taken.
The simplest way to fixed would be to disabled the collisionshape of the upgrade when you collect it:
$CollisionShape2D.set_deferred("disabled", true)
(need to call set_deferred to be called in the end of the physics loop)
Yeah, when you collect the upgrade with the wrong character it has one effect, and the correct one has a different one, so if they mix it just kinda creates a mess.
btw i'm curious about how the effect is made ^^

for me, the little guy kept getting stuck in the first tunnel area (so that he couldn't move at all) and I couldn't proceed with the game. the art style looked great and the two player concept is very original. congrats on the submission!

I thought that was the way he was supposed to go at first, and I didn't realize that he needed an upgrade to get down there. I was eventually able to figure it out, and could play the whole game. it was really fun! this one needs a lot more attention
Thanks, yeah I found the bug. I did some last minute fixes to the hitbox and didn't have time to properly test it.

Really cool co-op game with cool effects. You have 2 different characters that get different abilities and you solve puzzles with your buddy. Really underrated entry, one of my favorites of the jam for sure.

It is playable, but the graphics and post-processing don't work properly, so the exe is just a better experience.

im really surprised it only has a couple ratings actually. its the best game in this jam ive played so far.
this game looked great, sounded great, i really liked how the level kept going back and forth on itself. there was a lot of sequence breaking though, if the taller guy jumps and the smaller one jumps under him then the taller one can jump again and get places that he probably isnt meant to. otherwise really good gameplay
