Game Description
A game about a lone dwarf in space, who, armed with a combat drone, explores a planet devastated by the void in order to restore it and make it a new home.

How does your game tie into the theme?
During the brainstorming process, we decided that we would descend into the void and kill the creatures spawned by it. Our reference for the void was the game League of Legends, which used purple colors and various monsters with tentacles, eyes, and so on.

Really cute and polished game!  The art perfectly fits the vibe and the drone looks really cool.

Didn't know how to use him at first, but I guess that's my fault for not reading the tutorial properly. I prefer more interactive ones.

Great game, I especially liked the minimalistic visual style with 3 colors and character sprites and animations

I'll come back to see what the shop has in store :)

Great submission!

Developer

Eh, now I just have to finish it :D

really awesome style! is it possible to actually collect the crystals in blocks that are floating? I couldnt destroy them after freeing and couldnt jump up to it

Developer

Hi! Thank your for feedback! If I understand you correctly, purple blocks are hostile to the player and cause damage. At the moment, crystals cannot be obtained from them.

I love the visual style in this one! It looks super clean and the enemy designs are awesome. The one accent colour on black and white is very classy, very void-y. Big ups also for the tutorial, it gets through everything the player needs to know efficiently and effectively. Mining looks great, ending was charming, and I'd be interested in seeing what could be done with the shop if you ever decide to revisit after the jam!

Thank you for such positive feedback! Maybe we'll get back to development after the jam.

Very retro. I had that hit of nostalgia and I felt like holding my old game boy in my hand and playing a title like that.

Submitted(+2)

Liked the retro game art style to this, nice visuals! Like the visual cues of the blocks being mined. Took me a few seconds to realise i could double jump! The seamless tutorial phase at the start was good too, to outline the controls.

Was slightly taken aback that bats could fly thru the obstacles to get me! But once i figured that out i was more careful about switching to my laser with enemies nearby

Developer

Thank you very much, I'm really glad you played this game

Played through your game on stream, if youre interested in watching me go through it I have the vod below timestamped to your game

Overall was a nice game to go through. Had a good variety of enemies and level generation to keep things feeling fresh. Main thing that stood out to me was the sound effects/music being balanced to different sound levels which prevents you from hearing some of them more clearly. The enemies/things that hurt you and the collectables are also the same color which can get confusing at point when trying to figure out what damages you and whats something you collect. Graphics are nice and the swapping between digging and attacking felt nice as I was going down. If you add in the shop post jam I can see this having a bunch of replayability

Developer

Thank you for playing our game and giving feedback on it! we will definitely listen to your words p.s. with love from BT <3

It was interesting to watch you play through the game on stream! The feedback is really very constructive and useful, thank you.

I'm reminded a fair bit of Downwell - I assume you ran out of time to implement the shop? There's the basis of a fun game here, but as it stands, it needs a reason to delve deeper into the planet, even if it's just "just a high score".

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for your feedback! Yep, I didn’t have time to open a store. I miscalculated the possibilities and timing. Ideally, there should have been a store and procedural world generation. And if it’s absolutely ideal, then boss fights.

And about Downwell, yes, when I thought about descending into the void, this game came to mind and I wanted to get a little closer to its style.

I'll be honest, I thought the flying enemies were gems to collect. There was no sound when I lost a life, and nothing saying I had died. so for a while I thought the game was randomly restarting.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for your feedback!

The game definitely has a sound when you take damage. Maybe you played in silent mode on your computer? Maybe turning up the volume will help.

Regarding the enemies, if you are talking about bats, then yes, I think their design should have been changed.

In any case, I created the game in about 7-8 days and did not have time to work on it due to bugs and death display. I wanted to show the general concept, because bugs in such a short time are a common thing. Sorry if your experience was unpleasant.

Submitted(+2)

Ah, replaying it I hear the damage sound now. Maybe I thought that was a collect sound? Not sure. But the rest of the game was good once I figured out that the bats were enemies!

I liked this game! It was really cool, I actually died a couple of times. But I made it to the end. Cool tidbit at the end. And I’m also wondering if there will be more levels and a store later?

Developer

Thanks!

Maybe the store will appear later. While the voting is ongoing, I cannot edit the game. I will look at the results of the competition and if the game finds a response in the hearts of at least a small part of the players, then maybe I will try to improve it to a good state and add a lot of content.

Great game, fun.

Thanks!

Cool concept. The dog creature was fairly cool

Love the art direction in this one. I had trouble with switching the gun back and forth, it would often not work and get me killed.

Thank you for feedback! Try to download win version, web build work very bad :(

Nice game! There was a point where I tried falling as fast as possible because it was safer than trying to beat the flying enemies (oh and the first ones looked kinda like hearts, that actually fooled me into thinking they were health at first too). But of course there was always a full floor at the end with enemies I'd have to face either way, so that was a fun challenge!

Thanks for feedback! I know about this problem,  I did the levels on the last day of the jam and was in a hurry.
