Great cutscene at start! I like restaurant game too. :-)
I was not able to find out how to play it correct. I tried to take something to the fire place, but what ever I tried the Demon never took anything and I lost. I'll try it later again. But good graphics.
Really nice storytelling with the vivid intro and ending! The 3D environment with the giant demon was very immersive and engaging.
To improve the game, you may want to check that maybe preparing multiple dishes or bowls at the same time might not be currently working as intended, since currently it seems to only be possible to make one at a time.
I liked the game and I think you did a great job on it!
First off, that starting cut scene was amazing! Which software did you use for it, was that Blender?
For the game play, it's pretty enjoyable once I figured out how to do it; but it took a while for me to get the bowl-then-ingredients-then-flame routine down. For controls, they were intuitive, but you should know that at least on Firefox there's an issue with mouse capture for this game. I don't think that actually had anything to do with you, though. I had to alt+tab a few times to get it to work; I'm not sure if that happens on Chromium (which tends to be better behaved) yet or not.
How many rounds do you have to go through to win?
Yup, just tried the game in firefox. The Mouse capture controls and stuff was all messed up and extremely buggy in firefox. Chromium or downloading is far better for the game. For the cutscene I mostly used a yt vid about the story to make it. Also 3 rounds of dosas have to be prepared to win the game!

The starting cutscene is so well done. Gameplay, controls need some work. You don't call out you need to move forward toward the items to interact, but even after I figured that out and was holding something it was unclear how to put it down or add to it. I would suggest you build in an interactive tutorial where you walk the player how to interact in the future instead of having static instructions in another section of the game. Also the second time I tried to play after the time ran out I couldn't rotate the camera around, which limited me from looking at the bowl and interacting with it.

I have added detailed instructions for the game in the game page as well now. Nice idea about having an interactive tutorial in the start. About not being able to rotate the camera, you just have to press LMB (maybe a few times) to capture your mouse in first person to be able to rotate/aim the camera.
You exported the windows build in debug mode, didn't you?
So it feels like you spent 7 days composing the cutscenes and then somehow made the gameplay. The main game is quite a lot buggy, the labels telling which ingredients each bowl has are all over the place. Other than that, cool game, cool story.
Oh yeah, one more thing. The cutscenes seem to be broken. They don't go till the end. So they end abruptly.

But you are annoyingly correct about the ingredient icons not being centered properly over their respective bowls. I just wasn't able to fix that bug properly :(

I'm stunned that you even attempted a cutscene like that! Initially I played the buggy web version, which had some hitches so I literally couldn't pass the first trial. Wish there would have been skip cutscene option for when I downloaded it. Also, it forced full screen and I'm on a widescreen monitor so my view was nearly under that table. Still I had fun, nice work!
I liked this one! The animation is super cool and I always like cooking games. I had to restart it once to re-read the instructions as I didn’t realize I had to move the bowl to a countertop before putting ingredients in and I got completely stuck. I think adding a way to skip the animation would be a nice add for subsequent runs. I started optimizing by the third round of dosas and had pre-prepped the bowls which reminded me a lot of PlateUp or other cooking games (in a good way). Way to go!
Not a bad little cooker-game, though as you stated below the web export seems kind of riddled with bugs. I really enjoyed the adaptation of the tale, though, and definitely felt the tension when I got to the third round of dosas. I was mildly confused at first as to why I kept losing, as I was cooking the meals in order of least time left, and it seems to go exactly opposite that :P Perhaps only showing the single demanded dish onscreen and moving through them each round would have been more intuitive. I dig the demon model, droopy chin and all. Nice submission to the jam, thanks for making a game for us!

I admit that the demon does not pick the dosas by checking the remaining time on them and instead just picks whichever matches with the dish first in the list of three. I just wasnt able to add a better mechanism of dish management before the deadline! Thanks for Playing :D
