Really cool graphics and fun story. Got a bit stuck at the giant because when I tried to jump on his foot, it did not seem to turn red more than once if you tried to jump on it multiple times it was in the same spot.
Complete game , good and basic art but in some aspects it didnt fit for me. The levels were a bit repetitive, you just have to go straight in most of them. I liked the concept of the bosses, i dont see te theme here but its okay. Great game!
That was one big platformer :-)!
GAMEPLAY
The game was expansive and fun, offering a variety of worlds and fights to explore. I experienced some inconsistencies with the controls, such as the arrow keys and WASD not always working interchangeably, and a bug in pirate land that prevented further progress after dying. Got not get on the boat anymore and my sprite was diagonal. So start over. Despite these minor issues, the bugs were minimal considering the game's scope. Was a fun trip
ART STYLE / VISUALS
The simple pixel art was consistent and fitting, maintaining a cohesive style throughout the different game environments.
AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The diverse music tracks added enjoyable variation and enhanced the different settings within the game.
INNOVATION
The game was not particularly innovative, sticking to traditional platformer mechanics.
THEME
The theme was only lightly incorporated but it was checked.
Overall, a fun big platformer with a nice story and good playability. Good jobđź’Ş!
There’s a lot of game here, which is cool. My laptop was chugging the whole time - admittedly it lacks a dedicated GPU, but with 16gb of ram and an i7-1165G7 it isn’t ancient and does not normally struggle with 2d games.
Personally I felt the jump mechanics and acceleration/deceleration were too floaty for my tastes, especially in the flying sections. There’s a lot of stuff that’s missing feedback to tell the player what’s going on - the enemies and boss in the full metal cosmos providing no feedback whether or not you’re hitting or damaging him, the final boss just randomly teleporting you to other places without warning, etc.., having to interact with the pirate captain after talking to him to advance the story (which I suspect is what other people got stuck on?).
I spent an annoyingly long time on the pirate boss, because I assumed I actually had to do something in that fight, rather than just dodge. Wish that could have been telegraphed clearer.
For pixel art, inconsistent pixel size is a pet peeve of mine, that I can accept is a matter of taste though. I did find the super detailed (relatively) rocks at the beach to be a major clash though. I also wasn’t sure what was up with the player’s shadow, I think going for a like pixel-art paper cutout look could be cool if that was the goal, but that was the only element with such a shadow, making it stand out strangely. A lot of it was very charming, especially the skeleton with that super cool hat.
There’s an impressive quantity of loops, music wise, but most of them became very repetitive very fast, and I think could have benefited greatly by adding contrasting b sections at the very least, maybe extending the “a” sections to 16 bars instead of the very short 8 they often were. The chord after beating the boss wasn’t even long enough to play for the entirety of that few second long cutscene, which surprised me, surely that couldn’t have taken more than like a minute to fix? I wish I could’ve understood the lyrics better at the end, but I appreciated the song!
For my personal tastes this could’ve been absolutely amazing if you had cut a couple worlds and really focused on polishing up what you had left instead. Still, it’s a functional platformer with a lot of content, multiple play-modes, and it actually works without getting too buggy (at least from my experience), and that’s impressive under the best of circumstances, much less in the time period of a game jam. So definitely an accomplishment to be proud of! And you now have great bones to polish up into something really extraordinary if you wanted :)
I think you are right for everything, but not for the music, there are over 30 songs in the game all made by me and me alone, adding a b section, thing that i did for many of the songs, to all songs would have resulted in an uncompletete game because of the music taking so long. I appriciate you taking the time to play my game, but i would appriciate if you played yours to tell me if the music is on pair with my game. Thank you again
I love all the story elements and little cutscenes, and the platformer physics are very solid. I got stuck at the pirate ship, like everyone else mentioned. But it's still very impressive work for 10 days! Good job :)
Very charming game! Feels like a classic platformer from the story to the helpful sidekick with powers and the Paper Mario-esque sections in the Pirate Bay Cosmos. I also really like the way mechanics are introduced to the player, and the music was really nice too. I did notice there was no music in the Pirate Bay or the Full Metal boss fights, and in Little Big after turning big the previous song kept playing on top of the new song all the way through the boss fight. I also wish the catapult attacks wouldn't have a hitbox even after it's stopped on the ground, I had to just wait till they disappeared to continue. Otherwise great game, an impressive amount of ideas and content for such a short time span!
Played and rated!
Honestly really impressed this was made in only 10 days, very hard to believe.
The art style looks great, the audio is fantastic, the dialogue and story have depth and are interesting and the mechanics are simple and compelling.
Overall the game has a unique vibe and the world feels so alive thanks to the creatures connecting to eachother through dialogue and having flavor text. It helped make them feel part of it.
My only downside is the bugs that happened, I got stuck at the pirate captain on the boat it didn't load.
Other than that it felt amazing to play from start to finish, amazing job!
Would appreciate if you check out and rate our game as well:

Good, cute and simple, but needs more work to be better. Good job for a game jam :)
I was not expecting this crazy thing xd. I like it and I'm impressed by the sheer amount of stuff that is in the game, it definitely has a style, but I think more saturated colors would look better. Also, there are some bad bugs, like I fell off the bout at some point and it was impossible to get on it again.
Very silly and cute game! I loved how you had a little level preview for each world. Also, the music was super fun!! I loved the one for the pirate map. I did experience the bug where I died after the pirate ship and respawned diagonal, but after I got back on the ship the captain took off with me on the edge...so when we got to the island I got dropped into the ocean haha. It respawned me back to the very beginning of the level with no ship to take me to the other island unfortunately. Fun and enjoyable game!
This was delightful, the foot boss gave me a good laugh! I did get stuck with the pirate captain and couldn't progress, so I killed myself and then respawned diagonal. I got to slide up the boxes instead of jumping though so a nice short cut back lol.

such a charming game, has Paper Mario TTYD vibes with the different cosmos and distinct environments. the pixel art is gorgeous, and besides a bug that stopped me in the Pirate Cosmos a near flawless experience. the movement is simple but polished enough to allow you to move about the world untethered and soak in the environments. great job!
edit: oh and i loved the heart beat wave pattern as the health bar, really neat!
The scope of the game is incredible, I can't believe this only took ten days! I did notice some typos or dialogue would skip without me pressing on it now and then, but the platforming itself was solid, and given how big this game is, these minor issues are totally understandable. Great job!
