Well done on the game, and congrats on coming in first on the Sound category! If you're not already in the Discord, be sure to drop in or send a message to Shadow DA B0SS to collect prizes for the jam. A link to the Discord can be found on the jam's home page.

Overall, it works on Chrome too (except for WASD). If you made this in JS, use event.keyCode. And never forget about full-screen mode, it limits the mouse movement area. Thanks for the game!

cool game songs are infinite tho its annoying. or maybe its just really long

Developer

Yeah, the songs get faster until you fail. The tradeoff is that each repetition of the song allows you to score more points. Thanks for playing!

oddly enough, i found Rage frustrating haha

awesome execution and good skill pacing for someone close to the genre!

Developer

Rage is definitely the hardest one! Thanks for playing!

I really enjoyed this game! I often find a lot of rhythm games kinda cumbersome to play due to the awkward keyboard controls, so controlling with a mouse is something I appreciate. I do wish that the jam theme was more incorporated with the game mechanics, but still great job!

I couldn't get through the first song at first haha but this is so cute!

I wasn't expecting to be pulled into a trance, good job!

Damn. This game is fire. I have tired to make rhythm games in the past so I know how hard they can be, but this is a really well executed idea. I am not sure if the mechanic is common in other rhythm games, but it works really well in this game. If you invented this mechanic I'll have to tip my hat to you sir. As per the feedback for the game goes, I could not stop playing it even though I was losing a lot. The difficulty might be slightly high but that gives more the sense of accomplishment when I did manage to finish a song. The game idea was also very nice. 10/10

Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll be updating the game post-jam with new rebalanced difficulty.

The song and feeling when hitting right is very good, congrats

Developer

Thank you!

Nice idea and the music sounds fantastic.

I can't finish the first song, perhaps allowing only 2 failures is too little leeway, although it makes sense given the history. I mean, for people with little rhythm like me... haha

I agree with SQLPY about the selection of the controls. It would have been better to limit the notes and to use the keyboard instead of the mouse.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it! If you're interested in the other songs, you can buy extra lives at the computer terminal.

Cute little game, my only tiny complaint is I can't walk with wasd :-)

Developer

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'll be sure to add WASD controls in a post-jam update. Thank you for playing!

I really like this idea! Very cute. I think using the mouse was maybe not the right choice for this mechanic, maybe using keyboard keys would have lended itself more to playing a piano type game. Unfortunate there is no download and the audio is broken for me in the web version, so the notes don’t line up with the track and it stutters :(

Developer

Thank you for playing! And I appreciate your feedback. I'm sorry the web version didn't work for you! I'll attach downloads after the game jam is concluded.
