I didn't understand at first that the food tiles refilled the entire meter, so I was picking them up as soon as I saw them and then losing because I didn't see another one spawn in the next few tiles.  But once I had that figured it, I had no issues!

I think you could easily expand this to include more tiles types and resources as well as add some sort of goal the player is ultimately working towards.  I'd also like to see a right click or middle click mouse panning aside from just edge-of-screen scroll.

Simple, easy to understand exploration game!

Thank you for your feedback!

Camera will definitely be worked on. My current plan for the proper version is to do handmade levels and some event-style tiles that tell a story or something similar. If you have ideas for additional tile or resource types, I'm happy to hear them!

Cool game !
Not much to say in term of feedbacks.
Would have liked to be able to pan the camera with WASD or the arrow key instead of the mouse.
But appart from that it's a really clean and soothing entry. good job :)

The camera definitely needs work. I want to turn it into a mobile game, so it'll at least get a drag style camera. Though adding arrowkeys or something for the controller wouldn't be too hard, just ran out of time

Really cool and simple concept, yet very addictive. One thing I would suggest is add a top down camera angle, some players like myself would prefer that. Overall great game!

Game is gripping, and loaded with atmosphere even though it is simple. The camera is a little odd but kinda feeds into the journeying forwards theme. Maybe if it was introduced more as a mechanic it would help? Good stuff though for sure

Nice idea and execution! It's already quite addicting in its current state but I can see the potential in terms of adding depth with other tile types or some kind of quests to complete. Really enjoyed the relaxing music

Fun game, nice idea. Requires luck at start but after it it's pretty balanced. Enjoyed playing it. Good luck in your projects!

Developer

Thank you! I definitely would have preferred hand made games, or a better balanced algorithm - maybe, hopefully, that will come when I turn it into a proper project

Very nice idea. Reminds me a little bit of Dorfromantik.

I hadn't even thought of that, but now that you say it, I see it too. Must've been a subconscious inspiration!

It's a simple and effective mechanic, really addictive! The concept is really really good :)

Very good and addicting exploration puzzle game I got to say! Minimal in a classy good way. Got to 408 coins before camera control caused a misclick.  If I had to figure out something else that is useful to say I would perhaps have liked to see the camera control areas and get a notification when my party was on their last food and maybe clicking while camera travels shouldn't be legal move. I really liked the game.

Developer

Thank you!

The camera definitely needs some work and is the first thing I'll go for when continuing my work on this. Regarding the last-food-notification: It does flash red when you get there, but even that was added last-minute. A warning sound would probably be nicer

Very nice! Intuitive gameplay keeps me playing to almost open all tiles!!

This is one very interesting game. I just couldn't stop playing. It is addicting for someone who likes to play puzzle game. But I think the map is VERY big. It could take a while to finish the game. And also the game made feel stupid at times (cuz I am). And the last thing I want to say is that in the beginning I thought the food gave only one bar, but I soon realized that it fills it. Definetly a bit stupid on my side, but I think you should write it in the itch.io page (just a recommendation). Overall this game is very beautiful and polished and the idea is very good! Fantastic job!

Noice. But it is pretty hard as food is rare.

Submitted

I found it very good. Ultra luck dependant but fun.
Good work!! :D

Gameplay is simple but strangely satisfying, I played until I revealed (not clicked) every tile and got 661 score.

Developer

Oh wow! I'm glad you enjoyed my work so much 😄

I really liked the core exploration mechanic and presentation, but wasn't totally sure on my goals or use of the currency. A bit more built out there would be cool to see.

Developer

Thank you! Currency is really just poits - nothing to buy or exchange. But that would be a cool idea if I do end up polishing this entry
