Did you work in a team?
Just myself.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Overall, working within the limited resolution was fun, however, Godot's collision/physics system isn't too cooperative when it comes to pixel-perfect collisions. I had to tweak quite a few things to get it to work how I wanted to.

What did you learn?
This is my first jam using Godot and I'm very pleased with how the game turned out. Will definitely keep using it.

Superb, really really superb. I love the gameplay, especially the panicky nature of it once the rooms starts to fill up, and the choice of bright colours for the different numbers is a nice touch. It took me a while to realise that the grey blocks could be combined to create a “1” block. Maybe they could be “0” blocks so that it’s more obvious?

This game was a lot of fun. I liked the interaction at the start to click the buttons to play the game. It was a great simple way to show how to play.

SUPER fun and dangerously addictive! My high score is 1300 so far, and I can definitely see myself coming back to this game.

Simple and nice. Very nice.

Enjoyed this quite a lot, well done! It feels like a simple well thought-out gameplay loop that's challenging and engaging. I can imagine it being fleshed out further to get even more out of the concept.

Very well done! At first I was a disappointed I couldn't pick up blocks below me, but once there's a floor of numbers the game kind of turns into a type of alchemy solitaire warehouse! It does create some interesting problems.
There's a lot of little things I'd could imagine being added (power ups like kill all odd numbers, maybe lift blocks below you, a hammer to just break a block you wanna break, lots of possibilities!), but I also really like it for what it is.

Great job!

simple but fun! an ideal jam game.

Cool game! Simple on the surface, but can get surprisingly difficult if you box yourself in. I really enjoyed it, my only minor suggestion would be some alternative control schemes (but that's just because I'm terrible at steering with my right hand lol). Really nice job overall!

Great stuff. Easy to pick up, infuriatingly hard to master (at least for me). Graphics and sfx working great. Controller support would be a good addition.

This is so fun! I love it. Well done.

Fun game! One part I really appreciated was how you handled the "tutorial" and showing players the controls without hitting them with a wall of text. The aesthetic was great I had a good time!

More fun than I was expecting! Picked up the gameplay quickly.

Great to see another game in Godot :)

The mechanics are easy to understand, and clearly hard to really master. I love simple games like this that have a lot more depth than it first appears. I played this for much longer than I realized. Excellent work here.
I'd love to see how this game would play if you were able to pick up a block from underneath you. As it is, once you fill in a layer, you permanently have a smaller field to play in. Obviously you can combine blocks in to the "floor" now.

I might also be interesting to explore having multiple lives. Getting crushed takes a life and puts you back on top of the pile. A column filling up also takes a life and blows up part of that column. Those sorts of things. There's a ton of potential with this idea in its simplicity and ease of playing for a few minutes at a time.

Literally the only criticism I have here is that I wish there was some notion of lives or some mechanic where a single mistake doesn't end your run. My best score so far is 1100, but I'm going to keep playing. Excellent work.

Update:  Broke into the 2k range with a score of 2100 :)

Update2: Hit 2640. I gotta stop playing and keep reviewing other games. I'll be back for more. Also -- I set up JoyToKey so I could play with a controller and it makes this game feel even better *chef's kiss*

I keep coming back to it and trying to do better than my previous go-around. That's a real good quality to have in a game of this style.
