Did you work in a team?
This is a solo game

Was the resolution a challenge?
Creating small sprites is always a challenge. I kept it as simple as I could.

What did you learn?
My focus was on the kicking mechanic because I have a bigger game in mind that will use something similar. I learned a lot in the process, trying to keep things fun without becoming too challenging.

Lol this was unexpected and delightful!

Lots of fun as it was, but I could totally imagine some obstacles poping up, or even a brick breaker mechanic.

Well done!

Thanks a lot! You are totally right (and it may happen).

Well-presented minimalist fun!

Pretty simple, but also pretty fun. I like the choice of a skeleton kicking around its own head. It gives the game a lot more personality than itfit was just a guy kicking around a ball. The score counter in the background is cool too. The one thing it's sorely missing is a tracked high score.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, if I make a version 2, it would certainly have a high-score component. In this version, I made a conscious decision to simplify everything as much as possible and try to eliminate any distractions for the player.

Congratulations on making this game !

I've played your game during a live that you can watch here :

The live is timestamped so you can go directly to your game.

I hope the feedback and live reactions will be useful. Keep it up !

Thank you Darren! Appreciate the feedback. If you are using Brave, that's the source of the error message you saw in the browser.

(Edit: I just added a note to the game page to warn people about that. Thanks to you for bringing it to my attention).

Your welcome, happy to help !

5s across the board! Great work for the scope of a game jam, this is the sort of experience that would be awful if the movement and kicking didn’t feel good - and they feel really good.

Developer

Thank you very much Samuel 🙇‍♂️

Simple but very well executed. Nice work!

While the gameplay is quite limited in scope, it's executed well for what it is! The audio and the graphics complement each other nicely to bring home the weird, creepy, and humorous vibe. I particularly enjoyed the smooth integrated transition between the title screen and the main gameplay scene, and the in your face score display tucked neatly into the background. :) Well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the kind words Bálint!

Fun little game, looking forward to what you have in mind for the future!

More tiny scoped games probably for the time being, until I have enough mini-game mechanics that I can choose between. Thanks for playing, glad you had fun!

Nice, simple and fun.  Interesting use of space with the score being the background, BTW.

Developer

Thanks a lot!

It took me a moment to get how it showed the score as I was just focused on the skull, but I liked the approach of making that the background.

Developer

Thanks Val!

A simple concept, well executed. I did feel I could go infinite by tapping lightly against a wall.

Developer

You’re welcome to try 😇

Nobody has done it yet so let me know if you do. Thanks for the kind words 👍

The mechanic is sweet, I would love to see this taken further. Even though this is very  small  it is well put together and nicely polished.

Developer

Thanks a lot cerealbuffer!

This is mesmerizing, one of my favorites so far.  Great touch having the timer in the background.  Designed well in that I couldn't find any "tricks" to cheat my way into a high score.  Well done.

Thanks so much zzox!

This reminded me a lot of California Games (the footbag minigame). Fun to play and very funny game, I like that the score is shown on the background, nice way to save space.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks a lot Thinker!

Awesome little game, I had a lot of fun playing it! The mechanics feel great, and using the background to show the score is a cool idea. The music is fun and very fitting! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! I had fun putting the giant scoreboard into the background of the game but I didn't anticipate it getting such a positive reaction :D

Kicking mechanic feels pretty good. Nice job!
