I loved the music and the art. I enjoyed mostly using the flamethrower to burn everything. Amazing Job :D

Super cool little metroidvania! One of the most polished and complete games I've played during the jam. Really nice job!

Lovely! Great graphics, the cutscenes have a lot of charm and the enemies are great. The environments are also pleasant to look at. Flame physics were very nice and never felt weird. Watching enemies burn to crisps as flames surrounded their corpses was very entertaining. The music choice is very nice, and I had no issues with the sound effects. Gameplay was simple but extremely solid, all the bosses were nice additions and the levels were fun to navigate.  I will say I was wandering around the first level for a while until I realized you could go right to go past your spaceship. Last note: mad respect for creating a segmented enemy under the constraints of a jam, especially one with such a variety of movement patterns.

Whoa, that’s pretty excellent. Maybe the flamethrower action came pretty easy to you, but it looks like you put a lot of work into its look & feel. It turned out great.

Any idea why my Xbox controller isn’t getting picked up? It looks like it should clearly work from your docs.

That's weird. We encountered no problems with X-Box gamepads (X-Box One gamepads to be specific). The only thing I can think of is making sure the gamepad is already connected, before launching the web-game. Can't say for sure if it will correctly detect the gamepad mid-game. Also while gamepads are supported, we did not have time to adapt the onscreen texts, e.g. "press space" labels and so on. For every menu where it says "space", A/LB/LT should work as well when using an X-Box controller.

Perfect 5/5 \o/ is there good ending? cos I think easy was bad ending ^^ haha

think I found all your secrets >:) but Im gonna go back and play on hard just to double check! :)

There is no "good" ending. The ending was just meant to be a bit silly, nothing to take serious. :)

Glad you liked the game and finished it!

Wow! There’s so much content in this game! First of all you did an amazing job with the intro cutscene, I love it! I wish the movement was a bit snappier but apart from that I enjoyed discovering the (very diverse!) worlds that the game has to offer. Great job designing the levels to accommodate for new mechanics as the player progresses through the game. The flamethrower effect looks ace and is so satisfying to use! Great work!!

This was wonderful! I found all of the different areas very engaging, my favorite was the plant one. I really enjoyed the penguin and dragon bosses the most. The music was fitting too. I found the jump to be a bit unresponsive and the enemies were quite difficult to kill, but other than that it was a very enjoyable playing experience.

Great complete game, super underrated, 3 zones, diferent dificultys fun enemies, i do think that i was able to defeat the third boss because my hp pool was massive and he didnt do that much damage, i think if he was easier to doge but did more damage the fight would be better, i loved the pinguin and plant boss.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, unfortunately the 3rd boss was a bit rushed compared to the other two, since time ran out. Also with the snake movement being not super trivial, the patterns turned out a bit more unpredictable than expected.

Really nice graphics in general. I liked the player design, and the sunset in the start area looked great.
Though the backgrounds in the other areas were kind of empty.

Combat was ok, and the flame thrower was quite satisfying to use.

Platforming did feel a little sluggish maybe, particularly if you didn't hold space long enough, or pressed away from the wall too early the wall jump would fail.

There were also a few areas with completely blind drops into spike pits which felt kind of unfair.

Nice platformer, good sound, gfx and animation and very responsive controls. Nice flamer and control scheme… maybe those alien species are a bit too resistant to fire though XD. Intro scene was a very nice extra. Nice level design with bosses and big enemies… Great entry… will com back to complete playing this!

Wow, really good! It amazes me how much you've managed to get done in the allocated time! Even having cutscences and boss fights. I particullarly liked the flamethrower animation. I take it that is some kind of partical effect?

I think this would be cool expanded into a bigger game!

Developer

Hi, yes the flame thrower and the "water" thrower are a particle system with animation. We ourselves were surprised how well it worked out :D and yeah some of us had sleepless nights to get it finished.

Ahhhhhh the ending!!

This is a lovely metroidvania-style game, with charming visuals. The game really shines on the boss battles, which are super well done - the dragon is top notch. I like the transitions between biomes and how they look completely different from one another.

The controls work really well, I had to get a bit used to the wall jump but got the hang of it after a few tries. I think the enemies are a bit of a health sponge haha, but this doesn't take anything away from the game.

The ambience music fits the game well, and everything overall is very polished. Great job!
