Nice game. Its like the TRex game we play when there is no internet. But the jump feels too floaty. I prefer the jump in the TRex game (in google crome).

That was very pretty! My only critique was it felt like when you jump your in the air too long. Or maybe instead how high you jump is based on how long you hold just so you can get back to the ground quicker perhaps.
Nice and simple concept with a decent challenge.
PROS:
- The animations on the characters are nice and smooth.
- The audio compliments the gameplay well with the music creating a nice sense of urgency and the steady mechanical noises from the mech adding to the presence of the character on screen.
- The challenge can easily escalate over time with just a few factors changing on the simple gameplay formula (more boxes, more box combinations, limits to player resources/actions, etc.)
CRITIQUE:
- Ducking into jumping felt nicely responsive since the animation didn't prevent a jump from occurring, but the opposite wasn't true (ducking after a jump felt delayed for some reason) so that just felt odd from a user experience.
- I wanted some kind of feedback to tell how far I'd gotten. Even just a number that gets larger over time in the corner of the screen gives me a goal to shoot for next time to do better with each run.
- I wish the duck animation didn't cause the bike to feel unresponsive to my controls. Ducking two times in rapid succession is a nice player skill challenge. I understand that the shield is a nice way to avoid damage from two duck obstacles in a row, but I wanted the shield to be its own solution to a unique problem like projectiles firing from in front of me or something.
Thank you for the detailed evalutation.
And i completely agree with each of your pros and critiques.
Some things had to be left undone (like another extra obstacle for the shield, or the ducking animation feeling a little odd), because I did not have enough time to implement more.
The timer or distance number would have been a fast thing to add, I sadly didnt remember to implement it when I finished up the game.
Cool game! Are you planning on adding a progress meter sometimes in the future?
Pretty good! Took me a while to learn how long the cooldown was on the slide, was kind of frustrating until I got the hang of it. I liked the shield, I've never seen recourse management in these type of games before.
Nice work.
How did you determine the number of boxes to throw at the player? Was it just a matter of getting a random number or did you have something a little more sophisticated?
Great Job, But I would have liked a Distance Meter so that I could keep track of how far I got.
I am not good at these types of games! Ha ha. I could not get very far. But I really liked the graphics, and the music was nice and upbeat. Great job!
