cool game idea.. screen transition, audio are good
thanks! :)
Very aesthetic pleasing game with an interesting gimmick and approach to theme. Good job!
Thank you :D
Very enjoyable game :) I like how you can complete each level many different ways and how you can slowly progress untill you reach the flag. Such a nice atmosphere as well :)
Thank you! :D
The scene transition for level completion looks great and the music is great and fits the atmosphere. A feature for a post jam version would be a way to pick up points of a string and move them. Overall very well done. :D
Thanks! :)
I really like the visuals, it was very well executed and you nailed the Kurzgesagt art style. That sudden ground disappearing was funny, was wondering where that would come into play lol. Only confusion may be where I couldn't figure out how to restart a level and might've softlocked myself hahaha.
oh yea, hitting the flag before the checkpoint. so annoying and such an easy fix as well. I've explained why not in other comments, but here is another reason on top of that: my hard drive died, so I'm moving the important stuff to my main ssd. I'm gonna buy a new second ssd sooner or later.
Thanks for playing :)
u should play Tiny Pirates by ManuGamesDev
Oof then yeah that's totally understandable, that must've really sucked. Glad you managed to upload the game anyways, and hope you're able to sort it out soon.
I really like the name-pun together with the puzzle mechanics, it feels quite new, and not too obvious how to solve, music became a bit repetitive, but i liked that it was there.
You had me at the intro...
Thanks! :)
Pretty neat I spent some time on it! Best entry I've played so far, congratz it's very simple and effective :)
thanks!
Really cool idea and done really well! Was really fun to play and satisfying to just watch the ball bounce around
Thanks! :)
WE DID IT BOIISS
Reminds me of Crayon Physics Deluxe a lot where you can brute force every level if you want to, I like open endedness of the puzzles. You should fix string removal though so that you can do it every click and not seemingly random.
I've been told many times but I'm not going to fix it, String theory just isn't the sort of game I want to keep working on, I hate puzzles games and I have no puzzle games on my game making bucket list. Its just that puzzles games fit so well with this jam. I'll try to move away from puzzles games because they are so easy, that's a reason why I hate them, and I can't really add the features I enjoy most in unity. I'll try to focus more on QOL next jam.
Thanks for playing :)
very nice game with really unique concept, I liked it
thanks! :)
Great job! Game had solid mechanics, puzzles and UI elements. Great effort. Only gripe I had was removing pins / string could be tedious because of the size of it.
yea, getting rid of the strings was quite cumbersome,
Thanks for playing :)
Damn it's a very enjoyable game
why thank you :)
The game is very nice, the idea of building bridges is very nice, the only thing is that the volume of the music would make it a little lower, but in general it is a great game
I thought I got everything level, hmmm..
Thanks for playing :)
This game has literally no ground, only webs. I found this game really fun to play and really like the concept of use web and player physics to clear level.
I'm just obsessed with physics :)
There is a good idea behind this game
thx
Overall I liked the concept. Pretty original and fits the limitation in a creative manner. Spent 40 minutes playing it, actually.
I think my own(minor)thing I wish could be changed/tweaked would be the pins. I wish the ball would ignore collision with them for a smoother roll.
Spent way more time on it than I thought I would!
Actually, u don't collide with the pins, likely the second string u put down is slightly higher, should be slightly lower.
Damn, 40 minutes?! Thats more time than anyone else, did u manage to finish it?
Thanks a bunch :D
I think this was a really cool concept and a really creative way of approaching the no ground limitation.
I did end up getting stuck because I didn't know how to remove strings I had placed and had blocked my own path. I also think the camera pan speed needed to be turned down a little because I accidentally send my camera flying trying to figure out the controls at first and was confused lol. I think the concept is great and with a few tweaks is a super fun puzzle game that I'd like to play again!Edit: You have to right click the middle of the string to remove it!! lol
right click bro, it says it on the first level, unless... u didn't it read it did u? >:(
Haha my bad!!! I was trying that and was wondering why it didn't work - I was right clicking the ends of the string and not the center!
I enjoy a good physics puzzle game! There are some complex frameworks here for a game jam and that's impressive. There are obvious annoyances with the controls that others have already gone over. With some polish and optimization, there's a solid idea here.
Thanks!
really enjoyed this one, i love physics sim puzzlers like this and hunting for elegant solutions. so many puzzles here too! i wish there were a way to seamlessly connect strings together, especially for the red accelerating string. the music was also quite repetitive, 8 bars is a little too short of a loop for a game with this much content. overall though this was certainly fun and an interesting idea well-executed. great job.
Thanks! I was working on the music until I saw how much time I had remaining so I rushed it and did a shoddy job, and having away to snap strings is a new idea I've heard and I believe that would have been the best option for the red string's problems. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for playing :)
