Very fun game! I felt the controls little weird, maybe some adjust in force and physic make it better, but still very fun to play, i really liked the squish and the "hands" haha

Developer(+1)

thanks for giving it a try!

Submitted

Very beautifully drawn. Unfortunately, I was unable to jump onto the first platform several times. My browser also tries to save the page when pressing Ctrl - it was not convenient for me(

Developer

sorry to hear that Savidiy.  Ctrl is not one of the games controls/inputs. The only inputs are left click to shoot, which if you shoot down will propel you upward, and A and D to move left and right. I suggest trying again now that you know the controls!

Submitted

Really cool game. Probably too hard for me though lol. Skill issue fr. On my first playthrough I kept falling back down for a while without penalty, so I was like, "It'd be nice if they forced you to keep going up somehow" then I saw the mass of hands come up lol.

Developer(+1)

Ha! Yeah, the hands were a late addition, and I'm glad we were able to get them in. For a while it was just a bar of death, and we wanted to add something that made you feel some urgency to go up, but not so urgent that you can't be thoughtful about your movement. Glad you gave our game a try. If you have time, give it a few more goes, I bet you'll get a hang of the physics before you know it~!

Super cool game, the art is amazing, controls feel juicy and chaotic but not too chaotic, easy best game for me

Developer(+1)

You are too kind, glad you stuck with it long enough to master the controls. It's so worth it.

Submitted

I liked the overall idea and it was fun to play, but I think the controls were a bit weird to get used to and use consistently.

Developer (1 edit)

Definitely takes some getting used to the shooting and physics. Thanks for the feedback and playthru. Once the mechanics click, though, the gameplay can get pretty wild!

Submitted

This is a really nutty game. The soundtrack is so at odds with the overall body horror that is this game if you really stop to think about it. Pretty tho. Check out my live review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission

Developer

Laughed my ass off watching your playthru. Appreciate all the thoughtful feedback, and glad you enjoyed it.

Nice! I like it, although the squelch sounds are a little too gross for me!

Developer(+1)

hahahaha, glad you liked it. We definitely had some debates in development if they were too "squelchy."

Perhaps the expansion will have a squelch slider, where you can tune the fartiness on a scale from "Toot" to "Brutally wet"

Submitted(+1)

really enjoyable experience took me a while to figure out the mechanics tho

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it.

Now that you've got the mechanics down, I highly encourage you to try a few more times. It can be very satisfying to land some gnarly shots on enemies while yeeting through the world.

Damn, really fun game. Really loved the sound design.

Keep up the good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, DfiB was our sound effects and music guy, produced everything himself (including writing the theme song) in Ableton. Glad you enjoyed it!

8250 is my record. Funny & easy to learn concept. Very chalanging.

Developer

Nice! Not bad at all. Glad you enjoyed it!

great  game

Developer

Thank you!

Good and intresting game!

Developer

Thank you, glad you liked it!

Very good looking and sounding game! I was fully immersed in this pseudo Binding of Isaac world.

The controls were quite hard to adjust to, since sometimes I wish I could fart slower... but damn was it satisfying to kill enemies with a well aimed fart! :)

Very good first jam entry man! Keep up the good team morale and work :)!

Submitted

Nice concept and  good cohesive atmosphere and graphics! Took me  a moment to get that you can force yourself up with shooting down.I found it very challenging (maybe a little too much).

Developer

Yeah, the mechanic takes some getting used to, but once you do man is it satisfying to trickshot the enemies while perfectly squeezing between platforms.

Submitted

Love the idea and concept!

Eventhough, it is a bit hard to get used to the controlls, it gets fun after the first two or three attempts.

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Exactly our experience in playtesting. Hard at first, and the more you play and get used to the physics and movement mechanics, the more satisfying and rewarding it is.

Submitted(+1)

Don't know if you know this but it's possible to just move to the wall on the right or left and just click down to keep going up, skipping all the monsters and platforms. I did play it the "right" way though and had fun dodging the monsters and going up. Very good entry!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback. Every time you shoot you lose 2 of your 100 max health ;) This strategy will only get you so far before you die!

Score is also based on enemies killed and time survived, not distance traveled. So you won't be getting the highest score with that method, even if you do manage to make it pretty far.

Submitted

lol game is like doodle jump, but game not bad.

Developer

Haven't played doodle jump, but you can bet I'm about to go check it out. Thanks for playing.

This game is gross in a good way. (Like in a Super Meat Boy way lol.) I love the art, sounds, and general aesthetics. Good job!

Developer

LOL no worries brother, thanks for the playthru and the feedback. It definitely has some meat boy nightmare fuel vibes going on. Glad you enjoyed it!

things got really crazy when I climbed up a bit things shooting at me and flying all over the place. Couldn't keep up and was killed. Liked the art for the hands reaching up to grab you if you go to slow.

wow 12 team members that is a lot of people must have been a fun time keeping everyone on working together.

*I think I miss read your team list lol

Developer

Ha! Yeah, one of our team members is named "12" - there were only three of us. You're right that more enemies spawn on higher tiers, but it does cap out at a certain point. My high score is 55,000 points. I've found that taking your time, and not rushing too fast, while prioritizing food pickups is a good way to go. The hands don't increase their chase speed, so you as long as you keep a healthy distance from them, you can plan your next moves! Appreciate your feedback, and your playthru!

Submitted

lol well three is better to handle then 12 for sure.

yeah I probably rushed to get higher to much good to know the speed of the chasing hands does not increase.

Submitted(+1)

The meatball is super cute the artwork in general was awesome I really liked the hands coming up.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! This was our first game jam, and personally my first project. What a fun experience to make it, and see everyone's games come to life.
