The difficulty increase is fun and the repair mechanic is a smart addition. Good speed typing game.

Nice job. I had a lot of fun playing this one and the difficulty increase at the end felt just right. I'm actually a big fan of the repair mechanic as well so that I didn't have to start all over, but still had to work to continue when I had a mistype in the middle. It was a lot of fun trying to reach Lightspeed!

I did have to look from the word back down to what I had typed to figure out when there was a typo which was frustrating. Some feedback with a noise or red color could be helpful on typos. Potentially even turning the letters in the word different colors as you typed/they moved across the screen so players only need to focus on the words?

Developer

thank you for your feedback!

I was going to do that. But. Time restraints 😆

Lightspeed in 114 words (696 letters)!

Very strong submission. Well done!

Lightspeed achieved! it took 108 words (724) letters to achive lightspeed

I really appreciate that this game used real words, I've played typing games before where it's not and so here I can recognise a word and then use my normal typing ability to type that word. Although then I do screw up if it's a word that has an IE in or EI because I always mess those up 😂

Cool entry!

Very cool game! It had some sound issues for me. There was a very loud high pitched sound sometimes.

Yay I reached the end! What a cool way to mix light and speed! :D

Cool concept! The addition of the scrambled word is a nice way of switching up the gameplay, good job!

Great job! Liked the art style.

Wow, this was fun AND educational. Not only as a typing exercise but as a spelling exercise also for a non-native speaker. Especially trying to make sense of some of the repair words. :D I'm pleased with myself that I got the ship to launch on my second try.

the game was very fun and a neat take on the limitation. I'm pretty sure you used a dictionary for your words and you forgot to clear any mature words because I got "sex" lol

Developer

hahah yeah got all the words online. Noones got time to filter 😜

Thanks for playing! Highly appreciated.

Great idea! The repair thing was definitely the cherry on top, fun stuff!

While I did beat the game, I never managed to get a perfect multiplier above 1x… :(

awesome game though!!!!!!

Great Job!

But the game was fun up until the repair part, I felt like there was no way for me to realize I had made a mistake or was on the right path and ended up resulting in me googling the answer mid-game so that I could continue playing :(.

Love the typing mechanic of the game! Great job! :)

I got about two thirds of the way but then the repair gave me 'rbyu' and refused to accept ruby :( Fun game through, the difficulty curve ramps up nicely and the feedback is great!

Developer(+1)

haha was it bury? It tells you at the end what it's meant to be 😀

Yeah, that would make sense, but I got a bit flustered and ran out of time. Maybe worth adding a bit of feedback when you make a mistake to avoid it feeling unresponsive.

I could not get into space because I do not no how to spell.
