I really like the concept of this, the way it tells its story is simple and so effective. I would love see a longer project in a similar format, but at the same time it stands on its own as a short, emotional journey. Well done.

Thank you very much! I see your point! I try to focus on simple yet complete games: I prefer a short complete experience than a longer but in the end incomplete one (as I run out of time). I've got to say that 3 hours were really short, though!

Beautiful game, loved the soundtrack and story

Thank you very much! I never know when I create this kind of super short stories if people can related to the story. I'm happy that you did!

I wasn’t prepared to be taken on an emotional journey, really well done! Amazing music and super visuals, really well done! Feel super cozy and heart warming. (I almost want to look into creating one like this as I’m really moved and inspired).

Amazing job!

Thank you so much for enjoying it and feel free to get inspired! Almost all of my games have a similar principle. I'd suggest checking the one called Nature if you like this one that much 😊 Also I'm planning to do more!

I love the concept. I love the art. I love the simplicity. I love the stories. I love the simple animations, in the first frame after the “tutorial” frame, looking left and right… very easy to understand and very pleasing. Nice job. I like it when the story and art are prioritized like this over complex game mechanics.

The storyline about the cat made me smile. It reminds me a lot of the game my team made. I am not doing shameless promotion, I promise. But “I would make sure my cat would go with me, exploring the forests, with him by my side…” it reminded me of our game haha.

Thank you! Oh, funny indeed we both went for cat-based themes :)

Thanks for noticing that the ambiance in my games is always the key: I'm not much of a gamer, so I'm more interested in the experience than the gameplay. I always find interesting how minimal pixel art can evoke rather than show: that's why I purposely avoid adding too many details. I'm hoping this way that the players could come up with their own interpretation.

Actually, when I want to go with detailed visuals, I will draw and paint traditionally. My narratives games are thus a break from more demanding images! :)

It's really good for a game made in only 3 hours.

Good point of the game:

  • the music
  • the art style
  • the pacing

point to work on:

  • If you had more time it would be truly amazing because in it's current state, it is a bit blank

Thank you, that's a valuable feedback! I'd definitively like to create a more compelling story, yet with something simple and short to play. I was actually writing a game system for short stories and this was the first "real-life" test to see what I could create in a very limited time.
