Awesome puzzles! I wish I could finish it but I'm too dumb lol. Maybe I'll give it another shot later.
The mechanics were super intuitive and some of the consequences of these mechanics were really cool too!
Nice game! loved the puzzles, quite challenging!
That's some great puzzle design! Loved it, made me feel smart :D. Impressive you actually managed to implement a world map. It's also highly polished, with the particles and animations and all. Really great game, deserves more ratings.
Those are some great puzzles! Though, the one with the river running down the centre was too difficult for me. The game kinda has a Baba is You vibe to it; which you were probably going for. Being able to revert moves using Z would be a nice addition, as well as not having to solve every puzzle. That way the overworld also gets utilized a bit more.
Thanks so much for playing! The puzzle that you couldn’t solve actually opens up a lot more of the overworld there are a total of 10 overworld puzzles I believe. Also yes we were definitely going for a feel similar to baba is you when making the game. About the undo button we wanted to add it but ran out of time at the end after adding the reset button, but I agree that it definitely should be a feature in the game. Thanks for the feedback!
Man the puzzles were so awesome to play, really cool way to use this kit and the art asset!
I didn't even play the tutorial and immediately jumped to play but your first 2 levels were so intuitive that I understood what to do immediately. So congrats for that.
Great work, I really enjoyed it!
Really cool puzzle game, the overworld was a nice addition too. The game does get difficult quite quick but I do like a challenge so that was no problem for me.
The game was really interesting to play. I got stuck on the level the river across the middle of the centre, it was really hard! I think the game could be a bit more polished, I think the UI needs to be reworked, especially the card section, mainly because its transparent. I didn't see many creative uses of art assets, but other than that the game was good overall.
Yeah that level was definitely one of the harder if not the hardest level in the game. Thanks for the feedback btw, most of the issues people have been bringing up we already wanted to fix but just didn't have the time... but I can see how the UI being transparent would make the game look less polished. We will definitely take your suggestion into account if we decide to do anything else with the game. Thanks for playing thought I'm glad you enjoyed it!
i finished all the levels including the secret ones finding the secret levels were so fun there was one level i could not finish because it was so hardit was near the begining of the river and then you choose the upwards path i found the secret level over there but i could not finish the level in the path leading to the sea the little lsland i found there was so cute tough
That's great! I'm glad someone commented on how they found and played all the levels including all the secret ones! The level you got stuck on I made waaaay too hard but by the time I realized I just decided to keep it but make it optional, as it was originally intended to unlock one of the barriers for progression. Just so you know in the secret level to the right of the graveyard all of those blocks were meant to be hidden since they were just used for colliders... but I forgot to turn them off so now that level looks eh but is still perfectly playable. So glad you enjoyed our game thanks for playing all the levels!
i need to thank you for the game! it was my actual favorite game in the entire jam and i told the people in the jam discord to play it as well because i loved it so much i would love to see a full version of this game if you maybe change the assets for your own and add more levels with secrets in them and maybe even different worlds i just love this game to much but you have to keep the secrets they are so good i loved finding the secrets by either finding a cut off path or just exploring but my favorite secret was the island in the sea the little island was so cute but all i have to say is the way you add new things like pipes and stairs are amazing and that you should finish this amazing game (this is my opinion btw) i love this game way to much and i do not know why the puzzles are so hard and then you feel so proud when you finish one and you used one of the main things in a puzzle game misdirection where you make someone think that they know what to do just for them to relize that they actually do not. i just love this game idk why and also i was so confused about how you made this in 48 hours with a world map aswell. byeeeeeeee good luck in the jam
This comment really made my day I'm so glad you loved our game so much. It feels so great to actually make a game that we know people enjoyed. Thanks a bunch for trying to get others in the discord to play too that means a lot! We were thinking of working on the game more after the jam to make a full version since so many people have said they enjoyed it and would be interested in a larger game. If we do work a lot more on it we would add some sort of story as well as more worlds, or maybe the signs could lead to sub worlds filled with more levels. Baba is you was definitely a big inspiration when making this game. As for how we did this all in 48 hours... the overworld was basically just a glorified level select so it wasn't terribly difficult. I worked on all of the programming, my one friend did most of the level design and made the overworld look good, and my other friend composed the music, so with 3 people on individual tasks the work was split up enough son we could finish in time. The mechanics are fairly simple so coding it was pretty straightforward and didn't result in too many major bugs. The part of the game that took up the most time was the level design...the levels I designed were some of the harder ones lol I'll have to work on designing easier levels in the future lol Thanks for all the support, and if we do make a full version I'll be sure to tell you so you can check it out!
thanks god you are continueing because after i finished i wanted more i love this game to much the idea is simple but makes for great puzzles i really cannot wait to see a fully finished version of this game if there will be one and also you should make devlogs i would love to see the progress of this game
and also when playing i was thinking about baba is you because this reminded me of that so much
and also i usually do not buy games on my computer but this is probably the only game i actually i would
why am i a fan of jam game that is free? idk i just am
Played this before ratings started!
really cool mechanic where you need to switch from guy to guy and make the right moves to get to the end^^.
Did not finish it sadly cause the game is a bit hard (i'm very tired game is probably fine)
Nice stuff!
these are some mindbending puzzles, the overworld is super cute too, loved it
Damn this is so clever and... haaaard :') I've just completed the level with the stairs leading in the different rooms, and now I have four green guys I'm supposed to plan trajectories for, my brain can't handle that right now :'D
It's really well made, I'll pick it up again a bit later to try and complete more levels, but it kinda stresses me out that there isn't an "undo" function, since everything is so tight ^^' (Although I didn't put an undo button in my game either, so I'm not blaming you!)
This is so cool! I wish the grid was more visible but I love the idea. Music is fitting and it's definitely one of the more creative entries in this jam. Reminded me of baba is you with the idea and simple aesthetic. Great job!
Thanks a lot! We were considering adding a grid toggle in the pause menu, but never ended up getting to it. 'Baba is you' was definitely an inspiration for our aesthetic.
That's a cool game! Could not solve the puzzles that are placed right before the ocean and the... house? with ladders thing. It is a really good game, nice puzzles, with quite pleasant music. If you added some story to it and polished accordingly to the audience's feedback, it would deserve to be sold for some dollars at Steam!
One bug I want to mention, is that if get to the hub world and you are in the sea, your character upon spawning will have character's sprite and not a boat's one.
And this thumbnail - it's super cute!
Those ladders were supposed to be bridges lol so the guys could get across. That was definitely one of the harder puzzles in the game so it’s optional. I made it too difficult and by the time I realized it was accessible from early on I just decided to keep it and make it optional so if anyone get stuck they could just go to some of the other puzzles. Thanks for the feedback... we were definitely thinking about doing some tweaking and adding elements to the game so we’ll probably add a story of some kind. Also yeah knew about the sprite glitch bug kinda early on but it wasn’t game breaking so at first it wasn’t on the top of my to do list then I kinda just forgot about it lol. Thanks for playing!
The thumbnail is really cute and I like the gameplay, very interesting puzzles. Cool idea for a hub world too! Small thing but I think it would be great if the music kept going between levels/attempts rather than restarting.
Yeah definitely would be better to make the music continue. We added the music into the game last second and barely submitted with time to spare lol. Thanks for taking the time to play our game!
I really liked it! The sound was great and cute. I think my only feedback would be to make a way to go back one move instead of totally restarting.
Yeah we wanted to add that feature as well but we were running out of time and I figured it would be easier to reload the whole scene as opposed to trying to figure out how to code a way to go back one move. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
I liked the chiptunes and the overworld was cute.
Very intersting puzzle game, quite engaging and very polished with all of those levels and an overworld. Awesome! :-D
