Really cool game, the visuals and the audio match well, and the intro is cute. It’s quite hard until you realize you can double jump.

Game is cool but I'm too bad.

The visual style reminds me a lot of a tiny game I was working on but never finished, based on Spartan X.

Good job!

Tried it, couldn't get past the trampoline because of the gravity refresh rate issue. But I liked the visuals and music, especially with the parallax scrolling cityscape!

Pretty fun and cool, the crow is the most annoying enemy for me. This game definitely requires skill

Wish I didn't have to lower my refresh rate, but that is fine. I had fun

Thanks for the feedback!

The game is quite interesting, and I can recognize some references such as Spooktune and the explosion effect

However, the game is a little too difficult for me, I keep getting hit by crows and bears, or falling into pits

Very cute and enjoyable game. You also need some skill to play it to properly time jumps. Good job!

Cute little platformer. I'm glad I read about lowering your refresh rate before playing.

It was nice to see a game with gamepad support because I don't know if I would have been able to beat it on keyboard. It would have been nice to have a checkpoint or two on the level. ;)

Are you supposed to only be able to jump one block high? Even with double jump, that's still only two blocks, not even enough to get past the cardboard box enemy without taking damage.  Then when I got to the trampoline it boosted me halfway up the wall, but double jump wasn't enough to get over the rest.  That and with the flying enemies/floating platforms at the beginning that were entirely irrelevant due to how far up they were, it felt like the game was designed with a much taller jump in mind

Developer(+1)

You should be able to jump over 2 blocks per jump. I hope it’s not a bug of some kind…

Same thing happened to me! As far as I can tell, the game's gravity is tied to framerate. If your monitor is has a refresh rate higher than 60hz, try turning it down to 60hz.

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that :(

Really fun and hard for me game. It reminds me a lot of the retro era of platformers. Great work!

I cant jump...

Developer(+1)

Try double jump. I should’ve made an in-game tutorial… >_<

I loved the intro, with the dialogue and the fitting emotes and all :3

The level is designed to be very difficult though (the opponents make you bounce back, resetting some of the progress; way too many enemies to watch out for flying right off the start of the level; you can't defeat the enemies by jumping on them and instead get the ability to shoot them later in the level). At the point where the I needed to start watching out to land on the very short platform in order not to fall and get reset to the start of the level again, I gave up.

I hope it's just me who isn't the right audience for this game, and everyone else will get to beat it much easier. I love how the game looks (though the bouncies are way too similar in color with the background so I ended up not seeing them sometimes).

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I figured that since my game is too short, I’d just make it more difficult instead. And I haven’t put that much thought into level design to begin with >_<

I can't jump high enough to pass any obstacle, What am doing wrong?

Developer

What do you mean?

Submitted (1 edit)

My jump isn't high enough, sorry I wrote "can" instead of "can't"

Developer

You can double jump.
