  • Less than a month of experience and coming up with this type of creative game idea? That's so impressive! I had fun playing this! The feeling of the game is so cool. I think you couldn't add much mechanics/abilities to it just because the theme is Minimalism, but after jam! I hope you will keep working on this! Things you can improve: - Get players attention! I always tell this, we can't allow the player to feel like he/she is doing the same thing, at same difficulty! Every 20 seconds or a minute the game should change a little, player has to focus on game on what's happening :D - Add different ways for game mechanic, like maybe drag and drop some controllable thoughts by mouse, or right clicking for charging! These are some major upgrades you can include in your game! But do you need to? No, of course not! I can only suggest ideas, but I would prefer you to start with minor changes/bug fixes! Overall I really liked how this game feels like! Very nice job. Good luck on your future projects!

The music and the art are so good. Relaxing game

A well optimized game, with good music, excellent animations and a nice "feel". If you don't relax with this game, nothing will calm you down. Great game!

Relaxing game. Very nice art & music.

Really liked it! Fits super well with the minimalism and also the alone challenge!

I especially appreciate the consistency you have managed to maintain between the audio, animations, gameplay, and narrative underneath also of this and also the small details! I play-tested (I mean play trying to find some bug, obviously not in a malicious way) and I did not find any gameplay problem! Only minuscule (really minuscule, that maybe you already know about it) thing I found (seeing the great level of attention to detail you put in the game, I think you could appreciate it): in the main menu if you pressed a button and then released the mouse on a different one, the hovering effect of the button first clicked doesn't appear anymore (same thing we back button in the settings menu, releasing the mouse on the sliders)

Anyways great job!

Smooth animations. Relaxing. Fun. Awesome art.

The art, animations, and transitions were spot on! The game manages to really capture minimalism well without directly approaching it. Very cool gameplay and story concept too. One comment is that it seemed like there were too many enemies. There was also a blue snake/cloud thing that I'm guessing was an enemy bc I died when it touched me but I couldn't defend against it. Overall this was phenomenal work for less than a month of experience, great job!

Finally a game about me! Love it! the stress is just too much sometimes, but I can relate to that, I wish the monk could have other powers to fend off the stress and wordly BS that comes at him, and the stress is too much in the beginning. But what a good concept to create! well done!

Everything about this was amazing!  The art and the sound design was gorgeous. The overall feeling was very zen.  It did take me a while to figure out how to use the special move, but once I did the game was really enjoyable.

We're all super flattered! Thank you.

Very relaxing, great art and audio!

I love the concept! The graphics are awesome and the sound design is great! My only issues were some mechanics / enemies witch I didn't really understand. Great job! keep up the good work!

Really impressive for the experience level! I loved the soothing music & transitions to scenes were nice. Also really appreciated the very detailed settings menu! I agree, a gameplay guide would help elevate this game but overall very nice!

Thanks a lot man, for playing the game and for the kind words. We all spent a lot of time and effort on this project so little things like the settings, transitions and sound design being noticed feels super nice.

I think given an update I'll add a gameplay guide. My rationale for not doing so was just that figuring out all the enemy mechanics might bring an extra layer of depth into the game ; ) However I can easily see how that becomes a double edged sword.

Ooh yeah, I can definitely appreciate that line of thought though! I kind of like when games do that & you need to figure things out for yourself. One of my faves "SokPop Collective" do this a lot with their games & it can pay off for sure. :~)

The art style, music, and rhythm are really great. Love the concept.

I enjoyed playing this game and really like the concept.  Though, I'm still having trouble understanding the controls and how to win.  I was able to clear the first stage on the easiest difficulty.  I was amazed right away by the start screen and the advanced settings.  It made for a great first impression.  The art is beautiful and sounds relaxing.  I did find myself getting frustrated on the normal difficulty setting since I'm not sure how to overcome/avoid some of the "thoughts".  That's just my experience and I'm not sure if that's by design, if you find that others have trouble understanding too, it might be beneficial to include a way to guild and teach the player the rules.

Yes I can see that we definitely should have explained some of the mechanics more :D

Basically don't look at the worm and don't hit the green bubbles, but if you do hit it, you can block the teeny tiny purple gremlins via you spacebar attack.

[this is all super secret information so keep it hush hush]

Thanks for the feedback!

This is definitely one of the most appealing games I've seen so far. The music is especially really calm and relaxing to listen to. Great job!
