This was really fun! The animations are incredibly charming and the gameplay is fun as well, I love how you were able to make such a complete mini metroidvania with the restrictions! I did get stuck a couple of times in the spin cycle room and couldn't figure how to get out, but I'm sure I just missed something.

IMO, it's very charming, and has great controls and art... it having music was unexpected but quite welcome, it adds a lot, but I felt it got annoying after a while. Maybe I'm getting old haha
Not much else to say, besides I believe it has high chances to be among the top games for this jam... great job guys!

I have been developing some small games for 3 years. And I want to say my opinion. Everything is perfect here (I'm not flattering), I really like this game, the secrets, the collectible books and the character. It reminded me of wonderful and equally wonderful childhood flash games. I think that the game has potential and if you finish it, you will take your rightful place among the indie games of the world
(it's a bit like platformer levels with geometry dash 2.2)

I remember seeing your art in the discord as you were working and I have to say it lives up to the hype. That squishy menu text animation is awesome, and the rest of the game looks beautiful too. Very well done! Definitely one of my favorites so far!

Good visual with good animation! The animation for coins is interesting :D but it's a good things it's animated: it makes it more visible for the player!

Its a rare when I put all 15 starts, but this game worth it. Cool, smooth animations, a bunch of different powerups, a lot of rooms, even cutscenes! It’s was really fun to play this game!

Truly excellent. This is the kind of game that's so good it makes you forget it was made with some very strict restrictions. Love the art and the music, and the gameplay is REALLY fun so far - giving a vibe reminiscent of quite a few games I played in the nineties (although with a better checkpoint system). I've only played a short stretch of it for now, but will definitely want to complete it when I have the time for it!

Loved the art design on this one, really cool response to the size and color constraint. The game was fun and challenging too :)
This game has amazing graphic, soundtrack and a lot of content and care put into it. I manage to only unlock the Block and Triangle powerup but they really made the gameplay more fun, however sometimes I just cant execute the Triangle dash, I'm not sure if it tied to a cooldown or it some kind of unintended bug. The room design is great and with good humor, but some like the Spin-Cycle and Pick Your Poison is really frustrating to go through, the hitbox on the spikes and spinning blades are too tight imo. I didn't manage to get the Trapezium powerup and beat the game (I assume) because I got a bit stuck on finding 70 coins, but it really shows that this game has a lot of contents for a jam game and feel really complete albeit frustrating at some parts.
Turns out there aren't enough pages for the trapezoid, but it'll definitely be unlockable if we make a future version! And I agree some of the rooms are a pain, but that can be adjusted in due time. Glad you enjoyed!

this is very enjoyable to play! It has great level design and little secrets that I definitely didn't see at first. The story as to why this slime started out on his adventure is also amusing. 10/10 would play again.
