Description
Idk what genre exactly, since it's kinda a mishmash, like one track is breakcore inspired while another is almost metal and yeah. Each track repersents the journey through psychosis, the order of the tracks playing being important to it. I composed each track in abelton live lite and I just kinda stumbled through it. I'm not exactly a music producer lol

Message from the artist
Thanks for taking the time to listen to my music, I would love feedback and ways I can improve :)
P.S. Make sure to listen to it in order, it tells a story!!

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?

Super different from the other stuff I've heard, but in a good way!

CHOIR - Heh... I love that crazy panning. It sets the atmosphere of something massive and fast moving. It's like I'm standing still and everything around me is flying and trying to warn me of something.

WALTZ - TIME FOR A CRAZY WALTZ!!!1!

WALTZ2 - The pianist sobered up a bit, and decided to tell us what he saw in his drunken frenzy. This “something” is very tragic

BEFORE THE STORM - Honestly? I love the beautifully blended melodies of classical instruments and breakbeat. It's like we're looking at something that has a beautiful shell but a troubled soul.

SUBVERSION - AHHH I WAS SCARED... a good amount of crazy. The overall craziness and vocals make it feel like I'm listening to Rob Zombie, heh) (I LOVE the BROKEN INDUSTRIAL VOCAL)

HEARTBEAT - Saddle time, along with... accordion? Something sad sounding, and the music becomes more and more “broken”, as if we're hearing the aftermath of a soul screaming out of SUBVERSION. Someone's fear...

BROKEN - So... first of all, I love the whispering. Second: our poor hero has finally lost his mind. That's it. He can't be fixed anymore, he's broken and lost. No one can help him and he doesn't need anyone. All he can do is burn out in his own cycle of madness and fear.

THE VOID - The last notes of reason, in the form of a melody trying to be “beautiful” but scarred by past madness. A broken ending to the story, appropriate to the state of someone who has lived through everything that has come before.....

I loved it! You perfectly captured the inner state of a “broken” person. I loved it!

P.S. Sorry for elaborating a lot, I just really love conceptual music with a lot of meaning, heh)

when i teel you i made the most WOAHHH WHAT THIS IS SO COOL when that... i dont even know what to call it comes in at the last third of broken, i think your compositional choices + incredible instrumentation made this into a wonderful experience (wonderful is probably not the right word but i really enjoyed this as a look into the feelings you put into these works.) I love the contrast you have throughout this as well, it really helps paint that emotional picture even stronger. The creepy kind of... hollow nature of void that really felt like something was missing, but in a way that added to the emotional experience if that makes sense

Thank you! That instrument is actually something I made myself, so it's super cool someone noticed it. :)

Before the Storm melody is hauntingly beautiful. Subversion scared the hell out of me, but it was super good too!

Nice job with the OST!

You freaked me out in Subversion hahaha

I liked the way you connect Before the storm and Subversion in terms of materials, very cohesive.

Choir is super nice, my personal favorite!!

Well done!

You had some interesting sample work here! I like the breaks you used in "BEFORE THE STORM". Thanks for sharing!

I love the harmonies in the beginning of "SUBVERSION", very Studio Ghibli :)

This is just golden. The emotions and a certain event almost can be felt and seen and the quality of the tracks itself is amazing. I don't even know what to add here...

Thank you so much :)

Sometimes the shifts from calm to intense was simply too big of a shift but I did really like the intense parts.

Hello I listened to the songs and would like to give some Feedback since you asked,

I liked that the the differenet themes changed in genre a lot while still keeping a coherent motiv. It's great to listen to a dark interpretation of the theme, as up until now I haven't heard any of those. And while I am very sorry for you that you have to suffer through psychosis, I thibk it makes this entry very special and unique. Through the different Songs you could also feel a change in the attitude of the music, which I think the titles also show quite well. It also feels that you have the proficiency to use different Instruments for different moods quite well.

I didn't really like some of the sound design because at least for me it lead to clipping and overdriving and sometimes the instruments really hit you out of the blue main example being the drums in before the storm. I think it's definitly a powerful choice but I don't think that it would fit into a game very well since it's very surprising. I also think that some of the songs aren't really loopable, since there are a few changes made in the style which don't get lead back at the end.

But overall I do still think that you did a great job in filling out the theme and that with an impressive amount of 8 songs, so keep it up!

Developer

Thank you, that really means a lot to me :D

I like this a lot! The instrumentation and composition are very unique, and the melodies and chords are complex! I don't know if this was a deliberate sound choice, but the only advice I would have to give is to leave some space on the end of the track so it doesn't end so abruptly. Other than that, it's great!

Very good job on some of these! I appreciate the deep emotional mood and personal meaning put into these.
It would be more convenient if you included a link to a full playlist.
