Hey !
Here's my music for the OST Composing Jam 7. I took for inspiration the picture, and i for the game I imagined a platformer game like "Ori and the blind forest" or "Gris", something very poetic.
I have composed in a orchestral style where i added some chineses instruments.
I made 5 differents music, in all the music there is a common theme made by 3 notes which can represent teh player or the environment.
The music:
- " Don't stop believe " : it's a epic / Hopefull music, i made it for when the player is in troubles but there is a way where he can save every one
-" Exploration " : I made this one for presenting the environement to the player, or when he's discover an other region
-" The city under the bubbles ": This music can represent a particular place where the player is safe and can chill arround
-" This is it ": It's an ending sound, when the player as saved every one and there is no problems left
-" Whispers of the night ": It's a mysterious but chill music, it represents a puzzle level, where the player don't knom where's the exit. I imagined this level at night.
For all the music i used Fl Studio, for the composing and the mix.

How does it fit the theme?
It fit the theme because i used chinese and japanese instruments with a classical orchestra.
I also made a common theme inside 3 of the music i made ("don't stop believe", "exploration", "the city under the bubbles") for representing the player or the envirnoment;

Don’t Stop Believe: The bell instruments playing the repeating motif in the background remind me of sounds from the Studio Ghibli movie, Princess Mononoke. The strings give a more forward energy to the track and helps it feel optimistic and driven. The solo violin is very beautiful. I love the drop off back to the quieter section at the end - this leaves a great opportunity for your track to loop.
Exploration: The soft piano with quiet strings helps give a gentle calmness to this environment. The waltz feeling helps give character to your underwater area. I love the mandolin tremolo effect.
The City Under the Bubbles: Again, I love the mandolin tremolo effect. The light instrumentation works very well for imagery of a city with bubbles overhead. Bubbles are inherently delicate and transient which makes high bells perfect for conveying this musical imagery! I really like the return of your motif, especially at the end of this track.
Whispers of the Night: The instrumentation is very sweet. The harmony feels serene, but it feels a little sad still. The violin and cello together are very beautiful and make for a very emotional scene!
This Is It: This track has a sweet sound and a good sense of finality to it. Beautiful work overall. Thank you so much for sharing!

Very pretty! Love the use of Chinese/Japanese instruments, it gives the tracks a unique flair.
My main suggestion is to use panning/reverb more on the string instruments to place them in the mix more neatly. Good job!

Very interesting music, also due to the use of more exotic instruments and synths: the mix between the two reflects the theme image that is both retro and futuristic. You had a great idea and the tracks work well, keep studying and improving because the initial ideas are very valid! I appreciate this submission.

Very nice instrumentation, love the ethnic instruments you selected. Love the movement in each of your tracks, esp with the strings and the piano. Nice work!
On the first track, your melodies sound a lot like Zelda to my ears, and your orchestration makes it really interesting.
