Description
The genre is the combination of Video Game Music (VGM), Ambient, Experimental and Electronic. The game idea: a character decides to isolate themselves from the real world (for their own reasons) by creating their own inner world with nice memories and whatever they could think of. It represents a sea-like world with bubbles resembling memories and thoughts. But it's not endless and the main character decides to investigate the inner world and that's where their adventure begins and they'll have to get through their insecurities, fight their fears to get outside of it.
Message from the artist
It was very fun to participate in this kind of project. My message to everyone is to never give up and try hard. It's ok to take breaks.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
In my opinion it fits the theme because the story is related to the "outside, real" world and the "inner, delusional world", either let it be just a nice thing to imagine or a way to isolate from the outside world.

OOh was looking forward to listening to this one. Let's go!
1. Escape from the Real World: I really enjoyed how this song was very progressive. It wasn't just a simple loop capturing one moment, but a story on its own that brings the listener along for the ride from one world to the next.
2. Bubbletown - Overworld: The use of arpeggiated synths and up and down movement of the instruments definitely screams BUBBLES! My main critique with this one is that the bass actually overloads the limiter and causes some over compression.
3. Ambience Cutscene - Behind the Bubbles: OH BOY here we go. There's a whole underbelly to the main scenery and you've got to get to the bottom of this! Even bubbles cast shadows.
4. Arrival at the Dark Side - Tough Trial: The TENSION. We're brought to action, and it's not leading to resolution, it's leading us to...
5. Confront Your Fears: to... EVEN MORE ACTION! This boss theme nails what any good battle theme should have, ups and downs. Moments of high tension as well as moments of mental calculations to figure out the boss's weakness, and to defeat em! Really liked this one!
6. Still Me: This was a very interesting one. It gave me thoughts of mental struggles, and "Am I.. still.. me..?"
7. Destroyed Bubbles: Oh yeesss! The piano playing those hopeful and overcoming chord progression. And yet, at the same time, at what cost? Sure, you returned back to the real world, but the bubbles... Did they really need to be popped?
Overall, really enjoyed listening to this. You nailed what a game ost should aim to achieve. Not aim for showing pure technical musical skills, but rather, helping to express, and AMPLIFY what the game wants to show the player. Each song serves its purpose well, and you brought me from start to finish through a whole story. Great job!
It was an unforgettable journey full of synth wave, experimentation, dynamics, action and pure positivity...
Heh, you managed to make a diverse soundtrack well suited for the game! I like it)
P.S. Tough Trial and Boss Battle Theme are my favorite tracks. I LOVE DYNAMICS!!1!
yeah, kind of got carried away with the experimental style combining synths, some bits of orchestra and guitars but it was fun nonetheless
thanks for listening and providing feedback! i appreciate it so much and glad you got some favourite tracks
really like this, some great sound design, in a quite a few places you've got sounds that evoke that early vgm/chiptune aesthetic but with a really nice extra layer of modern depth and richness that makes them really satisfying to listen to.
you've also got a good variety of different sound palettes here between tracks whilst still retaining a feeling of coherency.
you've managed to get a really nice full and dense sound throughout without ever using so many different elements that it ever feels cluttered or overly busy, in fact quite minimal in a lot of places.
some very nice attention to the extra details with all of the sweeps and FX that often take a very centre stage role without being distracting or feeling in the way of the more melodic elements.
I think the first track is probably my favourite, the way you build upon that very simple piano and synth part about half way through just sounded really good, not to say I didn't really enjoy the rest either.
thanks a lot, really appreciate your comment!
honestly it was kinda hard to work with only one channel working because my headphones were dying at the moment when the jam begun. :') but at the same time good thing i figured out the style and stuff and trying to make something in it, so i was only hoping it will sound decent on working headphones or speakers. overall thanks again, glad you enjoyed the tracks!
oh wow, that sounds very stressful!
i'm glad you still managed to turn out something good despite all your technical issues, I can't say I noticed it having any kind of negative effect! sounded great to me on my big speakers.
yknow the second track had me scratching my head a little, but the rest makes for an absolutely vibrant OST. I love the synth textures and variety of sounds blended together and how nicely they came together!
yeah honestly after uploading everything i was also quite confused with how the second track turned out, probably gonna remake it later after the jam ends?
thank you for listening and for feedback!
This is one of those entries that I could kind of just sit back and listen to.
great job!
thank you for listening!
Some very interesting harmonies, especially Bubble Town and Destroyed Bubbles. Also great attention to detail throughout with little call/response, L/R panning and background filler patterns. I love Confront Your Fears. Would fit a cartoon too!
really appreciate your feedback, thanks lots! unfortunately when i was working on it my headphones were dying and i could only work with right channel so i just hoped that the stereo plays i did were decent enough. thanks for listening and paying attention to small details :)
Nice One! Really liked the variety and the orchestra!
thank you! first i thought of using more orchestra but got carried away into more synths...
Really enjoyable! Lots of variety here, the one that sucker punched me hard was Ambience Cutscene. That was unbelievably great, the mixing was top notch as well. Great work :D
thanks a lot!
Eclectic mix here, I appreciate each of the tracks being so wholly unique. I think Behind the Bubbles stood out to me the most, personally. Ambient work is always a delight. Good work!
thank you so much i appreciate your feedback! the very basic idea of it came from me playing guitar so that's how i came up with the chord progression (although very basic idea for chord progression) and then thought those some kind of "pauses" could stay.
Interesting take on it very experimental, Bubble Town is the best for me even though some melody does not fit with the chords but i'm not sure if its intentional. Fits the theme well, good job :)
thank you very much!
unfortunately didnt have enough time to fix bubble town cuz now im not sure with the melody either, but it was intentional when i had the idea first to give it some "off"-feel to it (but now that i think about it, probably i could do it better lol). might update in the future and post on the server tho
