Description
The soundtrack is very inspired by the music of Studio Ghibli, Hollow Knight, and Debussy. The first track (Maya's Theme) would be the theme of the whole game. It would play in any promotional trailers and as the game itself transitioned from the tuturial stage to the actual game. The second track (Friendly Fishes) would be during a level where the character interacts with many ocean animals as they help her accomplish a task. I used Reaper and Finale to write and record the music for this project. Cover art by @Kawaakar._

If this description seems weird and a little scattered, it's because I'm submitting this at 5 in the morning.
How does it fit the theme?
The picture seemed to communicate a relaxing story-based game with fantastical elements combined with serious topics, such as loss. I followed this fantastical idea as I wrote my pieces, as well as writing a cheerful theme to match the happy personality of the protagonist, with sadder sections to communicate the bittersweetness that the player will likely feel as they play the game.
