Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • This game is SO GOOD. Solid gameplay experience, no bugs encountered, conforms nicely to the theme, jammer music and artstyle, I've got literally no complaints. Phenomenal work!
  • Very cool submission! -1 point for the twitch awards nominee flex in the credits /s. for real though, my only complaint is the genuine guilt I felt about the old lady being sad in the background every time I got a file. Messed up.
  • UI, sfx, music are all on point. It matches the theme both aesthetically and mechanically, and is very clever in its usage. It's challenging, difficult and appeals to its target audience better than any game I've judged thus far. Would love to see it get the budget needed to become a full-fledged title.
  • loving the mechanics and concept for how it ties back to the overall theme. good stuff (even though i'm not as good at platformers as i used to be)

I'm so sorry grandma ;_; I'm bad at platformers, but what a nice, stylish game. And when I DID succeed, it was rewarding :)

This is an excellent little game love the concept. I have a few points, but most of them have been captured below, so I'll just say great job!

I kind of feel bad for corrupting all of grandmas pictures. But I didn't choose the virus life, the virus life chose me.

Loved this game - a favorite of mine so far. Design was clever, art/theme was funny, and I just enjoyed myself up until I rage quit (I'm bad at platformers). The reason I died was because a renegade piece of myself was flying around the level and got caught. I love the fluid mechanics and wish I knew how you did that.

Really really cool. And funny too! I loved the ending. First run took me 18 minutes and then my second took 8:10 :)

Dang that is really fast! I am super impressed, me best time right now is 6:20 so you were super close to my record. In my post jam build I am adding an online leaderboard so curious to see what peoples times are. Thanks for the nice comment ^.^

Super sick and polished game! The theme was awesome and funny, and it felt really fun to play.

Hard to get momentum in some parts to make it through grates. Sort of hard to tell where my form is in the space in order to make good wall jumps.  Amazing music, cool concept, hilarious quips from granny.

Developer(+2)

This is grate feedback (sorry for the pun). I will look into level design that does not put the player in such tight spots for my post jam update. Because momentum is so important I agree I should give the player a little more wiggle room. Thank you so so much for playing!

Loved it! The music, theming and gameplay was fenomenal! My only critique is some parts of some levels felt very cramped and it was hard to get enough momentum to pass through greats, but otherwise it was fantastic!

Love the platforming mechanic and style of the game it was really fun. It was a little hard to tell where you would reform or to build up speed to get past sections while a liquid but still really fun! incredible job keep up the amazing work!

Developer

Thanks! I will look into adding an indicator for the reform point post jam. Code wize I do it at the median particle position, unless that happens to be in terrain. This was super helpful feedback thanks!

Wow, great game in two weeks! Love the solid/liquid and getting separated from yourself (or spread out across the level you may say...). The grandma commentary is also great.

Insert Wolf of Wall Street clapping gif here.

Really cool idea and a very unique platformer! I really wasn't sure what to expect when I read the description but the game was a lot of fun. The setting is pretty hilarious too. Very well polished for such a short time!
