  • Very fun! spreading the love is on theme, but not doing too much with it mechanically, excellent little stealth game! no bugs whatsoever on my end. I quite enjoyed it, you should definitely elaborate on this with more obstacles and item types. maybe a little metal gear cardboard box for the pets, that'd be cute!
  • Very cute, and I loved getting pets and well done on the mechanics. Players might back out if there is too much backtracking for items. Appreciated the checkpoints, nicely done

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
When dungeon creatures get too old they are sent to the Retirement Dungeon to enjoy the rest of their days. But there is no enjoyment now that the new owner has banned all pets from the premises.

You play as either a cat, dog, or ferret and must sneak in to spread love and joy to the residents without getting caught by the guards or security cameras. And don't forget to collect some treats for yourself as well. Good luck and stay out of sight!

Gameplay is a stealth action game with checkpoints at every resident so there is not to much backtracking after a mistake.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Very wholesome interpretation of the theme, and nicely implemented! Gotta love the petting animations ❤️

Nice to see the additional layer of polish with the transitions between levels and the dog coming in through the floor all secret agent style :D

Well done!

Really good expressions hahaha, especially for the pets, seems really complete as a game, it was a good experience to play.

I'm not a huge fan of conceptual takes on jam themes (though I've done it before myself lol) — I was always going to be more excited by an interesting mechanical one — but that's probably all I could drum up for criticism here if I were really trying.

This submission feels so cohesive and complete. It's cute as a button, and the QoL features included are so appreciated. I was super impressed when I got caught the first time and only had to continue from my most recently satisfied NPC.

Getting to choose your character and having the treats change to match is one of those above-and-beyond things that really wins me over, especially considering the time constraints of a jam.

Good luck with the judging!

Great game!! I really like the overall cuteness of the game. The only thing I think could be a little better is the UI. But in general have a good and easy to learn mechanics and the levels are great. Did you make the game alone?

Great game.
I love the feel of the game as well as the music <3
The game is overly cute <3

This is a game with beautiful art and music. The pixel art and the implemented mechanics are well polished, taking into account the short development time. For the future, if you plan to expand on this game, I would suggest making the guards rotate progressively instead of making them flip instanty, because if you get busted, it doesn't feel fair. As well, I'd suggest using raycasting to check if the pet is behind and obstacle or a wall, because at points, the guards could bust you from behind a wall. Besides these few details, the game looks great, very good job!

Adorable game! Gave me great memories of classic browser games from my childhood. Cheers!

I liked it!  This game makes me happy.
The vision cone goes through walls and boxes, but I didn't check whether it was just visual or if they could actually see through the wall.  But this was a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic game!

Oh, and I wish there was a timer to see if I could beat my time for a level.

oh this game surprised me for good, overall its a nice, well-done and complete videogame. Im surprised, so many levels, and simple yet solid mechanics, no need for tutorial... nice job guys!

Fun game, cute. Interesting levels which require pre-planning.

So cute!! Really well polished and a great level of challenge. So impressed you got it to this state in such a short space of time!

I love the cute game and graphics. I also like the ventilation mechanic. I wish it has ending scene that will give me a greater sense of achievement.

I love the concept and the gameplay, very fun to play!

Fun and polished game! I think it's a really nice touch that the game saves at your last pet obtained. I found a bug where when I exited a level and went back into it, the level wouldn't start.

tried your game out yesterday. My only point where i didnt know what to do was after i got all the goals of the level i didnt realize i had to go back to the start, so i got stuck for a minute.

Art is on point on this one, really great!
