  • Nice game, and it plays well. Other than the small labelled tasks on the ground, I was not entirely sure what I need to do as the player, or what the overall goal was. I liked the idea of using the clouds shadow to aim the rain etc, but I am not entirely sure how alchemy fits into the game, even after reading your GDD. Really clever concept, playing as a cloud though, and "collecting" the rain and thunder as you traverse the world! I love the low poly style that you went for, with the voxels in the clouds adding to the dynamism of the environment. GDD was well written

What a cute & cozy exploration game, never thought it’d be fun to play a cloud! Great music and love the sound effects. As others said, the cloud takes up a lot of space of the viewport. Maybe zooming out as it grows, or letting the player manually zoom in/out with the mouse wheel would help.

Very lovely and creative submission, well done! 👏

a really cool idea! It was fun to play around exploring and finding all those little missions and cause a bit of chaos along the way :D The camera felt too close once you get bitter and the messages disappear too fast for my taste, but great chill game overall. Also, painting the grass wet is a nice detail!

A really wonderful concept, extremely chill and relaxing game, the only critique I could find is that sometimes I feel the cloud block a bit too much of the camera espcially when you're so large.

Fantastic job!

Developer

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I completely agree. We struggled with visibility, especially once you became massive, and our compromise was to add the toggleable ground camera mode. Cameras are hard!

Very interesting concept. I liked the little interactions with the people. It would be nice to see an objective list perhaps that contains all those little interactions. I got a bit confused as to which direction things were.

The aesthetic is so pleasing. I like watching the cloud grow and fill with water.

We definitely debated whether or not a checklist of activities made sense vs just making everything be "easter eggs". Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed!

Fun take on the theme!

...What does it say about me if the first thing I did with the thunder was try to strike the houses? 😬

Developer(+1)

When you have a lightning bolt, everything looks like a target 🤷

Not just you - this game is a beast to run. We were optimizing until we fell asleep on the last day.

Really creative idea! Music was nice and I especially love the sound of collecting more clouds :) Great work team, it's a solid game.

PS: I rained on you guys...

I'm so glad someone found us!

I like the idea and the music!
I don't know if it's just my device but the the camera stutters a bit.

Overall, it was a fun game!

Developer

Not just you, the game is drawing a ton of stuff per frame since the world is 8 sq km and the view distance is 3km. There were so many optimizations left undone unfortunately.

Really cool and fun to explore!

I loved the cloud sounds :D

I really liked the guidance, or setup of it, but still found it not always immediately obvious or helpful. But with a bit of exploration of the mechanics and the same guidance showing up again later, it was understandable/discoverable.

I liked the graphics and mechanics; the ideas of mechanics and I think the implementation design of them was good.

It felt less like a “game”, or “very active game”, and more like an experience, an exploration, an environmental exploration and experience.

Developer

It took us a while to figure out what the user experience was going to be at the beginning, so the introduction of the mechanics is a bit... chaotic, lol. Thank you for playing!
