- Love the linking and growth over the development of the game. So amazing, I would like the shadows to drift in a bit more to make it have a more cloudy style, but that is more of a style pref. Such a great game!
- The game is fun to play, the music is cheerful, the art style very cute. You implemented the theme in a way I wouldn't have thought possible. Your game is lovely and I enjoyed the puzzle part of it. Especially seeing that thisi s your first game jam entry. Thank you for making this game and I hope to see more of this in the future, well done!
- Incredibly clever concept. Provides a "programming lite" mechanic that works on logical reasoning. Art is original and works well with the audio assets. Overall, great experience. Make more games!
- Henry is the best. I enjoyed the game to the fully! Approved! However I couldnt figured the cult ferret, but that is okay! Abstract theme interpretation gives always ideas for cool games like this.
- The shadow alchemy theme might be a little loose here but this is so cute and clever! It was fun figuring out how to get him to move around. Love this! Great work.
- This is honestly incredible. Brilliant work. This is incredibly playable. It's also on theme with the combination of fog of war for shadows and mix and match effects for alchemy. Very clever use of mechanics for the brain wiring, The art style is very simple, clean, and effective. I did not give this bonus points for it being ferrets/Henry it would be the same score if it was Gorilla Brain Simulator or something else. Just damn good work.
Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yep
Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
wait... I... I think so...
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
surely
Tell us about your game!
It's an experimental puzzle game, where you control Henry the ferret by fiddling around with limited connections inside his brain, trying to navigate him around and solve puzzles by creating unconventional input-action combinations.
Extra Notes
It's more of a game mechanic prototype than a masterly designed game, but it's my first game jam and also my fist game publish ever, so I wanted to take the challenge and realise my crazy idea and see what people think - or if they Alt-F4 already inside the title screen...

Very cute. It's looks simple, but sometimes you have to think a bit as to not use normal gaming keys.
Congrats on the win well deserved, love the crafting elements in your game. One of our team members wanted to go this direction and it’s really cool to see it pulled off so well :)
Congrats on the win! You did amazing!
Congrats on being TOP #1!!!!
wonderful game , cant see this not getting some shout out
I loved the game! It's truly unique—fun and challenging at the same time. Extra kudos for the last friend, that was a great touch! I finished it in 15:35 on my first run. Congrats on the excellent work, the game is really well-made and adorable!
This is a really nice and polished game! A lot of it can be figured out without a tutorial, which is such a nice feat. The only thing that wasn't clear was the scar tissue and the fact you can connect multiple wires. I felt frustrated sometimes why it couldn't work, I think the art can help a lot in making that clearer. I had a lot of fun playing this, with a nice final puzzle in the end. The only gripe I had is that this feels like a game concept that was thought off before the game jam, not because of the theme of the jam. Just because the way this connects to the theme of the game jam seems to be a really big stretch.
That being said, a great game is a great game, nice job!
Yep, clarity for scars and multi-wires is already on the to-do list. I guess the line between experimentation and frustration is too thin when you lack the right feedback as a player.
And yes, I went with a more abstract interpretation of the theme, as brewing potions or playing with a lamp and shadows felt like a too boring interpretation for me. I wanted to make something more sophisticated and I wanted it to have a connection to PirateSoftware or ferrets. And this is the result. So you could say that I used the theme for inspiration rather than limitation.
Thanks for playing!
This is a seriously amazing game. The idea of programming your own controls as you on its own is just astounding. You learn the game's central mechanic in the opening main menu?? Genius.
The music, art, and sound effects are all terrific.
You perfectly captured the theme in a way that I don't think I've seen any other game in the jam achieve.
And on top of all that, you melted my heart.
Amazing work!! I only wish I could have figured out how to get the final friend!
Thank you! And sorry for liquifying your heart, hope you'll recover soon ;) It turned out more wholesome than I initially aimed for, but it felt fitting so I leaned into it. My next game will have more blood and death and all that, promise! ;)
As for the final puzzle, I'm physically unable to say anything more than... 'yes, this one is different' and 'just look at the screen and try making sense of it'... sorry :)
So unique and cute, a lot of fun to play this through. Love this idea.
Cutest game I've seen so far and very unique.
A bit hard to adapt to controls but it is not a big deal.
I think game needs to communicate better what you can't connect and what you can (multi-wire). If scars are indicators that you can't connect then this shouldn't work:
I really liked that you showed core mechanic right in the title screen.
About the challenge I managed to get down to 2:42.
Overall: can't wait to see more things. This game is so cute.
Thank you for the feedback!
Yeah, there is definitely room for improvement regarding communication and also the usage of controls and skills later in the game. And yes, that connection you show there is not intended, already fixed for the next update.
The challenge was one of those stupid last-minute ideas, but 2:42 is actually really good :D
Glad you liked it :)
Nah. Challenge was fun even if the idea was "stupid last-minute". First time I got was about 12-13 mins... :)
I think you did a great job making movement a bit weird. It suits the game well cuz you and Henry learn it together.
This was fun! Very cute too. I enjoyed all the puzzles, and the last one took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do, but eventually it clicked--very fun to figure out! Also really liked that you used the mechanic for your menus as well, it's a nice mini tutorial. Great job!
Wow!
Very cute game, very polished and interesting.
Unique mechanics and a very original idea.
I loved it!
Hope to see more!
Super cute! I loved it!
Until I couldn’t progress with the jump and walk. I don’t see how to proceed when I only have one wire but seem to have to move up and jump at the same time.
Glad you like it and sorry to hear that you felt stuck. You get your second wire right in front of the green pillow, in the air. Were you able to get that? Or maybe you thought it was on top of the pillow? Might be a bit tricky there, perspective-wise...
Yeah, I thought it was on top, and was sure I did try numerous moving and jumping in front of the pillar. But I guess not as expected/missed just that.
So cute, and nicely done! I liked the puzzles, especially the last one. Great job!
this game is unbelievably cute. simple smart concept. congratulations on this man. felt amazing playing it.
Ohh so cute! And very ingenious mechanic. Love it!
This was such a cute and well made game! Really cool mechanics, good puzzles and just the right amount of challenge! But there is one big problem... All the ferrets are just waaay too cute, so I'm pretty sure that's illegal xD Jokes aside, great job!!!
Amazingly cute and interesting game idea and execution. The puzzles are hard enough to feel the frustration of having a disability but easy enough to give a boost of all the happy feelings of having figured it out. Definitely gonna play that again.
Such an incredible, lovely game! I felt so confused and hooked on the gameplay at the same time, 10/10 felt like the ferret trying to navigate it all! Cute sounds, very engaging, and a super cute theme as well <3
very cute game and music, I didn't get how to jump on the bed even though I obtained jump and movements :/
yeah... it might be not that obvious by now, but you 1) have a second wire there and can build two connections and 2) you can try making a connection chain. These lead to actually two ways how you can get up there.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll try thinking of a way to give better hints without giving away the solutions.
