Shadescrap is a boss battler where you manuver through the shadows while avoiding the light in order to defeat the boss.
Snappy and simple gameplay. But it it's not boring or underbaked ! A

Simple and effective. I really like the uncovering-map mechanic.
Pros:
Easy to grasp, player feedback, well-balanced inputs (main, alt, dash)
Cons:
hitboxes and movement is a tad sharp
A nice little boss battle with some banging music to get you in the mood. The ramp in difficulty caused a couple of deaths, but nothing I couldn't manage after a few tries. Super fun man!

this game is super fun!! it picks up in difficulty fast and makes you feel the pressure, but not in a way that feels unfair. the burst attack is my best friend and my savior; actually, it might be helpful to have the player's sprite flash or something when its cooldown is over, because usually I'm too busy trying to desperately navigate my character to glance up at the corner of the screen.
What a treat!! This is a fantastic concept that I would absolutely purchase as a full game! I thought the movement and combat felt fantastic, and the art was out of this world! Only critique is that there are a few spots where you can be completely safe, but thats not really an issue :) Great job!!
The gameplay is awesome! Controls feel great, music is on point, and the art style is fun and simple, yet still very informative. I would love to fight some more bosses!!
When the tutorial told me about how I can shoot away the light I was like "yess, that's some good design"
It's really great since it makes the common strategy of running in circles to avoid the enemies be much harder.
The difficulty is perfect, I won on like the 5th time, learning to make use of the area ability was key. Never used the dash though. Great game!
I really like the music, the tutorial is well made. Overall a very good game, well done!
This was by far my favorite submission! I love the concept, being able to shoot away the light as a shadow mage. And of course boss fights are awesome!

Solid game, gameplay is pretty fun and difficult. The sounds and music are pretty basic but get the point across. The theme is there with the light and shadow, but the alchemy theme is forced. Just the character being a wizard/alchemist and the "potion" that breaks shields. Also no real introduction to story or flavor elements that has to do with the theme. Overall a pretty great game though, well done.
Fantastic work! This was a really fun challenge. Took a few goes to get the hang of it but it’s fun and satisfying. Really well polished and the tutorial was a great addition.
I perhaps would have liked some kind of visual or audio indicator for the charge blast cooldown but that’s about it.
Also really loved the music - I sat on the gameover screen to let the music loop.
