  • Henry is the best. I enjoyed the game to the fully! Approved! However I couldnt figured the cult ferret, but that is okay! Abstract theme interpretation gives always ideas for cool games like this.
  • This is honestly incredible. Brilliant work. This is incredibly playable. It's also on theme with the combination of fog of war for shadows and mix and match effects for alchemy. Very clever use of mechanics for the brain wiring, The art style is very simple, clean, and effective. I did not give this bonus points for it being ferrets/Henry it would be the same score if it was Gorilla Brain Simulator or something else. Just damn good work.
  • The game is fun to play, the music is cheerful, the art style very cute. You implemented the theme in a way I wouldn't have thought possible. Your game is lovely and I enjoyed the puzzle part of it. Especially seeing that thisi s your first game jam entry. Thank you for making this game and I hope to see more of this in the future, well done!
  • The shadow alchemy theme might be a little loose here but this is so cute and clever! It was fun figuring out how to get him to move around. Love this! Great work.
  • Incredibly clever concept. Provides a "programming lite" mechanic that works on logical reasoning. Art is original and works well with the audio assets. Overall, great experience. Make more games!
  • Love the linking and growth over the development of the game. So amazing, I would like the shadows to drift in a bit more to make it have a more cloudy style, but that is more of a style pref. Such a great game!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yep

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
wait... I... I think so...

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
surely

Tell us about your game!
It's an experimental puzzle game, where you control Henry the ferret by fiddling around with limited connections inside his brain, trying to navigate him around and solve puzzles by creating unconventional input-action combinations.

Extra Notes
It's more of a game mechanic prototype than a masterly designed game, but it's my first game jam and also my fist game publish ever, so I wanted to take the challenge and realise my crazy idea and see what people think - or if they Alt-F4 already inside the title screen...

This was an adorable and endearing game. I fell in love instantly and kept falling more in love as I played.

Update: I'm glad that this was the #1 winner! You deserved it!

Ow wow! Such a good, solid game. Good job, yo!

Simply awesome idea! I really now want to get into the guts of how you've made this work, and I have a couple of ideas on how this can be expended! Excellent work all around!

Developer

Thank you! I'm always open for ideas :)

This is really good. Good Baba is You vibes. Took me a while to figure that you wire multiple things in one go. But when I did (with the cultist) it really made me want to see more levels.
It also wasn't clear in the beginning that not all inputs can go on any activity. And yes by the end I figured out you can circumvent it, but it felt a bit random why, specially in the beginning.
Still an amazing little game. Definitely made me want to play more. And if this is your first game, I look forward to what you can do in the future.

Developer

Yeah, I fear the multi-wire thing relies too much on experimentation or chance right now. And for the blocked connections, I tried placing the scars as visual hint, but I think I can make it more clear; e.g. making it also flash red when blocking a line. Definitely have more ideas for continuation, too. Thank you for the feedback!

I liked that the muti-wire thing was a "oh snap!" kind of moment made it feel like suddenly the game opened up to new possibilities after being able to solve all other with simple wiring. give the feeling of now things get interesting, and makes me want to see them

Have you considered increasing the visual contrast more? Brains are actually quite grey, so the red scar tissue may show more prominently, rather than just 2 shades of red (tbh I missed the scars until I went and read the comments)

Really creative game, and a really cute artstyle to go with it. This idea definitely has potential, and I’d love to see it taken further :)

Waddling a mile in Henry's shoes only made me feel for him that much more. Such a clever concept executed so well. Don't stop making games!

This is so dang creative, you did a good job of intuitively communicating the mechanics! The art for Henry is so cute it breaks my heart ;_; Poor lil baby. Thor is gonna love this for obvious reasons.

You said it's a prototype but it could definitely be a full game imo. I know what you mean about making a funky prototype rather than a finished game for your first game, that's exactly how I felt about mine (mine is my first published game too, and I told myself if I get a satisfying prototype it will be good enough!)

this is adorable!

Oh my heavens this is so well made, and it's such a creative concept. Having to draw a wire from space to start-game even on the main menu blew my not so super brain. This is amazing. beep boop

Developer

yep, the idea was to use the main menu as a sort of tutorial for the rather unconventional playstyle in game, I am glad people like it! Thank you for your kind words :)
