  • This is a stunning visual novel with a really well written story. The narrative is enticing and the characters feel very real. I like the way you've implemented the theme through a machine made to kill/destroy. That works really well, and the player-character's existence as a "weapon" comes out through interesting dialogue. The art and sound both serve the story well, and I can see this being built out into a much longer game. This very much feels like a first chapter in a longer story. That said, I think there need to be more choices for this to really feel like a playable game, rather than just a novel. I think building out a longer narrative, with more choices that result in a greater variety of endings would be great. I'm already engaged in the story, but I want to know more. I also want to feel like I have more influence on the story, as a player. Right now, it feels like there's very little consequence for the choices that I make (even with the ending where the player is going to return to the warehouse, it doesn't really feel like it's much of a consequence for the player-character since the game ends there).

Yes

Summarise your game!
War Bond is a point-and-click visual novel, where you play as an android in a post-war scenario. You will pick the parts to repair yourself with the help of a blacksmith, unfolding the story as she narrates it to you.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Rather than being a weapon as known to us (i.e. guns, swords, and the like) the theme is interpreted as you being, or having been, a literal weapon in the shape of a robot/android.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The art and music ;^)

This is really cool. I love the art style it looks great. I'm not much of a visual novel person, but I found the story intriguing and am glad I checked the game out. I got the blue ending!

I absolutely adored the art. Althouth I feel like the game is too much too short (I was really looking forward to seeing way more of Mark and Valor), It still managed to build an atmosphere and world that made me crave for more. A full game with this artstyle and gameplay would surely be super popular! Can't wait to see more from Tearam. 8/10

Truly beautiful; artistically, musically, and in soul. The sound effect that accompanied the speech was lovely. Great work!
