What was the origin story?
Old concept with different characters. Lacked the ability and know how to make it. Glad to finally finish something regardless of the bugs :)

Maybe for my it's too difficult, but i very like it! Awesome game and idea =)

Great feel overall.

The camera angle could be worked on a bit as all the enemies seemed to be closer to the top of the screen (in the first few waves at least)

The player's platform could use a smother collider on the sides so players don't get stuck on the side when falling off

Such a cute and fun game, I do like the camera controls! They remind me of the camera controls in Realm of the Mad God.

Developer

That's exactly what I was going for!

Submitted(+1)

The graphics were very good. Although I found the game to be a bit difficult🥲.

But the gameplay was good👏👏.

Good idea and very nice graphics, what engine did you use?
Developer(+1)

Thanks! I used Unity!

I just noticed just now.

This is not the kind of game that I am good at. I found it hard to control the camera and move and aim and dodge and shoot simultaneously. So I died a LOT but I loved the soundtrack and the graphics and there were some fun little details. I’m sure if I’d been able to get past the first wave I would have gotten more of those little details, too! If I could suggest anything for simpletons like me it would be a training mode or more generous aim box or something. Great work, though!

This is really cool, nice job!

Hey everyone! I started working on fixing the Camera rotation to be based off the mouse and it plays like x1000 times better! Thank you so much for the recommendation. I'm going to update the game and  it will have this feature :)

Submitted(+2)

that opening transition reminds me a of "(NES)Uninvited" transitions. and those retro style graphics and sounds are great. a few recommendations I have is after enemies spawn have a slight delay before shooting the player, (this one has been mentioned in the comments)"a setting to move the camera with the mouse"
and maybe gamepad controls(Gamepad Movement works but can't fire or move camera).
although this game would be perfect to play with wii remote and nunchuk controls.
(I don't know if it's possible it's just something I was thinking about and want).
I just saw the trailer Gameplay, I didn't know you could teleport to the other platforms. I'll try doing that next time.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I was really going for that sort of feel! Regarding the recommendations you are totally correct; when I was working on it one of the things I wanted to get to was a telegraph animation for the flyers but I ran out of time : '( . Also the mouse request is very popular which I think means I should definitely add it. This is all really valuable to me thank you so much for taking the time to play it :)

Submitted(+1)

Wow I also thought of Uninvited for some reason! Love it.

The mechanics actually go well that it makes a great challenge with the combination of background music and increase in enemies! One look at the player and I was immediately reminded of vivi and that's all I need for a character.

Developer

Haha thanks, I wish I made the character myself it is really cute. And thank you for the feedback, since a good portion of people want the other feature I guess it is something I can add in the settings or have a tutorial level that allows them to try both and figure out which they prefer. Thank you so much for giving the game a shot!

Super cool game! I love the look of the character you play. Plus, the aesthetic is really cool too!

Developer(+1)

Your game was really fun too!

Submitted(+1)

I like it! The sound and graphic is very cool! I look forward to next updates :))

✌️

Developer(+1)

You are so kind thank you

Submitted(+2)

Wow this was a lot of fun! I actually don't mind the rotating camera controls - it adds an extra layer of skill to the game and makes it feel unique.

My only complaint is that I'm always clicking the very top of the screen - maybe just adjust the vertical camera angle a tiny bit so the enemies are in the center of the screen more.

Developer(+1)

Ah good point! I'll try to add in that :) Thanks for giving it a try

Submitted(+2)

very insteresting game! Music and art are so engaged between them, physical part is 😎 also cool

Developer(+1)

That means a whole lot to me, I really appreciate  it

Submitted(+2)

Loved the visuals, thought it was fun to play for a short time! Would definitely be interesting to see it with a little cleaned up movement and some more enemies and such. I enjoyed playing it!

Developer(+1)

Happy to hear, and yeah the it was kinda rushed if I'm honest. The final boss was made in about an hour haha

Submitted

Everything's rushed in a game jam :) It's always great to see how good things turn out despite the rush

Great wave-based shooter game! Love the art-style, along with the audio. Felt very polished; looks like your using some postprocess shaders to get a 32bit retro style. Very nice. If I have a criticism, not sure if it is just me, but I found the camera rotation via Q + E awkward. My only thought is that if you just had it like a third person camera controller, so it is rotated via the mouse look. That may make it at least less awkward for me. But I can see how that would likely raise other issues and perhaps remove some of the challenge and uniqueness from the game. Still lots of fun!

Developer(+1)

Yeah I got that complaint about the camera rotation a lot, I'll make a note of it! Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

This is sick!

Developer(+1)

You made my day :D

Submitted(+2)

This was fun, I'm very bad at it but I love the black mage cat ฅ•ω•ฅ

My profile picture is a moogle in the same outfit lol, and my partner made a logo of her cat in a black mage outfit for her circuit boards and things so when I saw this I had to immediately link her to it and jokingly ask her why she joined the same games jam and didn't tell me lol

10/10 would pee on owners bed again ฅ=(^o_o^)=ฅ

Developer(+1)

Thats hilarious! Thank you so much for the kind comments, it really goes a long way :) I'm gonna check out your game!

Submitted(+1)

a game with so much charm! The visuals are on point. I reached wave 5 i think until it got to many enemies for me :D
I also wished the camera movement was with the mouse. then I would've used the teleport mechanic much more!

Developer

Thank you! That is a fantastic point. The reason I did the camera like that was because I enjoyed the controls from an old game called "Realm of the Mad God" but it was a 2d game. I'll try it out and see!

Submitted(+1)

Neat game! kinda wish the camera was with the mouse instead of pressing on the keyboard but good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing Dania! I'll give your recommendation a shot!
