This was my favourite game! The core mechanic was so unique and worked so well. It was really cool to see everyone's work in the gallery and we were amazed you got that functionality to work! The writing and characters really invested the player in the world and gameplay. What an amazing game all round!
I cannot overstate how much I appreciate the charm of this game. Everything from the art to the writing to the sound design made me smile so much. It’s funny but also tells a genuinely endearing little story. The writing is seriously just so good. I love the unique animal characters mixed with the familiar mascots as well. The woodworking mechanics are a bit finicky but still a very impressive and fun concept, and I love how much creativity is encouraged. Unfortunately though I ran into a bug on the final challenge where the game suddenly wouldn’t let me set a base, so I had to quit. I definitely want to go back and give it another shot sometime though!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot. I'm glad my writing has come across so positively, and owe a lot to Handstandish for his art & character designs.
So sorry about the bug! One other person has reported that but I haven't been able to reproduce it myself so I still haven't fixed it.
No worries, bugs happen, and it's still a standout for me either way! (I also did watch Kyle's stream so I got the full story!) I did give it another go just now and unfortunately the bug now happened on the first challenge and then again on the second challenge on a subsequent attempt. I go to set a base and it drops down and then from there can no longer set one. Just thought I'd give some more info. that might be useful if you do plan on continuing to update it!
Okay, I believe I've found and fixed the issue. Please give it another try when you've got the time!
I downloaded the new version and gave it another go and made it to the end just fine! Had a lot of fun! However, during the final judging session, my piece floated up into the sky and disappeared offscreen...I guess it was so good it ascended to the heavens lmao I consider this to be the perfect ending. Thank-you for fixing the bug and thank-you again to the whole team for making such a cool game!
Wow! I'm pretty sure you made a type of game that doesn't exist anywhere else and I think that's really cool! Especially impressive how well you nailed it! It gave me a genuine sense of pride in my work and the context provided by the story made we want to try as hard as I possibly could! I loved every second of this magnificent game!
When I saw your concepts in the Discord I had no idea how this would be a game, but you really did something impressive here! The fact that the sculptures are visible online and tie into a story makes it way more "high stakes" for making something actually interesting. Great job on this!~
Thanks! Yeah, I knew there had to be some sort of driving force to the player's sculptures. Even if it ended up being fully scripted.
It looks like your submissions didn't make it to the server. You can try resubmitting them on the title screen if you want.
This one was so impressive! Extremely unique game with mind boggling mechanics. I'm not really sure what magical programming you did to account of everyones weird imaginations but it works super well. I also loved the characters in this one too (that poor giraffe). Super endearing and clever! The art sharing feature is an amazing touch too. Superb!
Thanks! I'm not sure if the programming is as impressive as everyone seems to think, but I'll go over it in the post-mortems. I also think Handstandish did a great job on the characters this year.
Also, it looks like your submissions didn't make it to the server. You can try resubmitting them on the title screen if you want.
Edit: Turns out the resubmit button was broken. So, you'll also have to download the updated build. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Oh no worries. My pieces weren't that good anyway :P I'll resubmit once I play again, which I'm sure will happen cuz its such a relaxing game. Great work anyway <3 One of my favorites this year
This was such good vibes and I love being able to see the community's sculptures in the gallery too. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Had a great time with the game! Building was really fun and I also really liked the sequences in between - great idea!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, I played it offline (played it on my notebook that was in airplane mode, since my main machine uses a 32:9 monitor that unfortunately broke the UI). I tried to resubmit it a minute ago, but the game instantly crashes when I press on the button. Maybe I could send you a log file somehow?
Alright, I was able to find and fix the issue, and have updated the game with the fix. Thank you for the report and sorry for the inconvenience!
Such a cute game! I feel like figuring out the coding for cutting the blocks into new shapes would have been super difficult. I especially love the collection of creations from robot partiers.
Every year you guys present something special! I spent *well* over 30 minutes playing this game, trying to achieve perfection with my imperfect cuts. Including the gallery was also such a nice touch, too. Thanks for another memorable experience!
I love how the game encourages to engage and collaborate with the community! The building mechanics worked very intuitively and the presentation is delightful.
I did run into a bad bug at the final challenge... I tried to set a base object after painting it, but it dropped down and I couldn't set a base anymore and got stuck.
Dang! Sorry about that! I'll see if I can figure out why that happened.
No worries! It's still one of my favorites. I'll probably play through it again after I've given the other games some time, to unlock the gallery.
Had a very enjoyable and chill time crafting my wooden sculptures!
So so fun, loved going through the gallery at the end too.
FYI for others, there's a bug where your piece will disappear if you're in the middle of attaching it w/ the joint tool and then swap to the paint tool.
Very cute story and animal friends on top of very unique gameplay focused on creativity. It really stands out in the jam.
i loved it so much. i could have easily spent hours and hours playing. and did spend way more than the intended 30 minutes creating my ideal vision. i also really love being able to see what everyone else has created.
Amazing stuff. So fun and original and I can't even imagine how much of a nightmare this would be to code. The judges give it a 10!
Man, this was just a pure good time. Love the freedom you have when making your sculptures, really enjoyed the charming little animal friend group, and getting to look at other players' sculptures is such a great reward at the end of it all. Really great job on this one!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. We're really looking forward to seeing what everyone makes.
Just as a head's up: there is a bug with the saw tool that is especially common on the more complex pieces. If you just kinda fiddle with it and adjust the position/angle slightly eventually it should cut (it might not, though).
