Nice work. I like the old-school style you gave to the game. The map reminds me some old RPGs likfe FF or DQ.

Developer(+1)

thank you, yeah those first NES/FAMICOM JRPG are the best looking imo

I’m from the same team as Kireth, I’ve also tested your game, and with the delay you’ve had in the jam, congratulations! I liked the final chase, though I managed to lose the enemy and when I retraced my steps, he started chasing me again. The main character’s animation is very fluid and pleasant to watch, I think. PS: Congratulations on the forthcoming graphics upgrade!

Developer(+1)

yeah, he only chases while on the player screen, this is something I have to change later, thank you for playing

Very interesting old-school vibes, and it seems I've found a cheat code!

This short but cozy NES-inspired game brought back memories, with charming graphics and gameplay that. However, I missed having a retro soundtrack and some story context, and a few bugs affected the experience. I still enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing!

Developer

thank you for playing, I’ll answer your other post with details about it

I liked the game. It's a cool idea and with a bit of work I bet it can become a good horror game like faith!

Developer(+1)

thank you, yeah, a game not approved by the vatican haha

I think if it had music it would be much better.

Developer(+1)

This game reminds me of Zelda 2.

Developer

yeah I’m inspired by many NES/Famicom games of the time

Oh my, I love the aesthetic choices here!! Big blocky platforms and sprites. The 2D visuals are even better, reminds me of Zelda but even more of the old C64 game "Druid". Gameplay is good too, challenging but not ridiculously so. Many thanks for submitting.

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

thanks a lot, glad you like it. I like the C64, NES and NEC PC-98 aesthetic a lot, didn’t know Druid, but now i have to play it :D

The character designs were great! the platforming was very fun as well, I was able to beat the game. Very nice work.

Developer(+1)

thank you froggert2, unfortunately i didn’t had time to explain the ONLY mechanic that’s in the game :D but i’m glad you could finish

I expcted this to be a Metroid-like but then it turned out to be more of a Zelda 2 type game. Really cool! I enjoyed playing it but got a bit stuck in the room with multiple flies and the platforming. I'll probably go back and try to get further though.

Developer

thanks man yeah i didn’t had much time to fine tune the small touches, so i kind of just trow the enemies there
